Super Smash Bros. Brawl In Egg Form

Our egg contest continues! Reader DaRebel sends in this SSBB-style entry with Kirby and Meta Knight about to bust shells. Dazzling coloring skills, too! Here's what's going on: Decorate an egg (yes, an actual egg), take a pic of it with a Kotaku sign and send it to kotakucontestATgmailDOTcom. Commentland will vote for its favorite finalist. We'll kick this baby off right now, wrap it up on ~~April 4th~~ April 5th. Here's the loot, plus the bonus signed Fallout 3 shirt.

At first glance I thought that this was a screenshot! I don't know if that says more about the quality of this egg contest entry, or the quality of the Wii graphics... Either way, excellent work. Makes me wish I had an imagination.

That Metaknight almost looks like he's made of clay, but the Kirby is spot-on! Well done!

I'm looking forward to the finalists in this quite creative contest. As for me, my entry wasn't at all game-related, but rather leeching off my past Kotaku success... >_>

I feel like Kotaku is slowly turning into home economics crash course. We have to bake cakes. Paint eggs. Build insects from clever candies (okay, so from any material). Why not something a little more shop orientated? Build a videogame themed CO2 car - or a real automobile for that matter. How about shoot an animal that looks most like a pokemon contest?

I'm just kidding, of course. I don't and can't do any of the above.

I was going to include two other SSBB characters. But I guess it's not exactly the most unique idea. I bet kotaku has gotten a lot of ssbb submissions by now.

I love the Metaknight. It looks like he's too fat and lazy to get up and fight kirby so he's just sitting there desperately trying to reach him with his sword.

The Kirby is very excellently done, and the background is well painted.

I would hold of on saying anyone is an "instant win" at this point, mostly because my submission will be going up on friday and I'd like to think that my epic creation has a shot at the gold.
