World in Conflict is coming to the 360 and PS3. We already knew that. What we didn't know about this console-specific game is that it'll be called World in Conflict: Soviet Assault, and will take the PC game, give it console-specific controls and give you the chance to also command the invading Soviet forces. Yes, yes, In Soviet Russia, invaders command you, etc, etc. PC owners, for you, nothing else has changed: you'll get all the new content as an expansion pack, same time as the console versions arrive (which is "Fall").

somehow i feel...screwed over as a pc owner of this game idk why..
In sovjet russia WiC has to wait for me!
@Raziel3333: Prolly because we'll have to buy the expansion...
In Soviet Russia, we command invaders!
... wait...
Console-specific controls: because all those PC ports where you have to use a mouse and keyboard, even though your console doesn't support their use, are just no fun. This game, on the other hand takes it to the limit!
I just got the online trial from a friend, and I must say that I really like the system. I do hope the single player is something alike. Nevertheless I am really enjoying the balance of things.
I have been waiting for an rts sans economical issues and more tactical oriented. Infantry for the win.
Some of the tactical aids seems a bit expensive for what they do, but the feeling that you get from a successfull air - to - air strike or the intimidation of a nuke (and the sound just before it detonates) are the reasons I will probably buy and enjoy this game.
What? I am confused. Is not EndWar the console version of WiC with different graphics and a GUI tweak?
@tei: No, Endwar is a totally different RTS by Ubisoft which uses voice command or something.
Excellent game on the PC. How will it translate?....
@tei:
Endwar is a Tom Clancy game that will feature framerate issues and image tearing and an innovative terrorsit with WMD's storyline.
@AEREC:
LOL!
@AEREC: Is Tom Clancy even involved anymore? :/
@The_Antihippy:
Not directly...they just use his name. Just like most of his books now are written by other people and just has his name in the title.
Tom Clancy is the the John Madden of Military Games
I...can't...fucking....wait! SOVIET UNION! SOVIET UNION!
In Soviet Russia, expansion pack waits for you!!
sweet. Ive never played a console RTS before and I think this will be my first.
