Ah well, we nearly managed a week without a PS3 title in the charts. Still, the chart continues it's irrelevancy to me as the import copy of Smash Bros Brawl sitting in the Wii means I'm not gaming on anything else bar COD4 MP until Rock Band. Which could be next year for all us Brits know.

While the bugs in vegas 2 are annoying, it's still a very good followup to the original. I haven't regreted buying it once, and I find myself playing more than the first even though on paper the changes aren't that deep.

@Nydrin: I agree...except those "Unable to connect" errors whenever I try to join a COOP game. Really, really annoying as I don't like Versus all that much.

One of these days you're just going to have to get over the British software charts....

The gap between multiplatform titles is closing.
At this rate the PS3 install base in the UK will overtake X360 in June... like predicted.

Have to own up to buying Mario v Sonic. In fairness it was cheap and it's an enjoyable game.

@Garo: While the gap may be closing, June is a REALLY crappy time to hit the console dominance point for the simple reason that there are few games scheduled for Summer. Everyone is watching the summer blockbusters (and not playing the tie in games), going off on holidays and generally being outside more. Yes, Metal Gear is a big selling point for the PS3 and it all counts towards units moved. But when the Xmas times roll around, the public will vote with their wallets and buy the wonderfully cheap Wii and 360 Premium packs and still get to play every other game the PS3 has bar MGS4, which as we all know will be getting a Subsistence/Substance/Susomething release next year on the 360. I loved my PS2 dearly, far far more than my original Xbox because it had the games. Now the dynamic has shifted and MSoft are the way of the future in my mind...for now anyway.
This also doesn't factor in the opposite approach that most buyers are taking with the PS3. More than half the people I've met who own say they bought it as a Blu-Ray player with the option of playing games on it. Sony could very well corner the Blu-Ray films market with the PS3 but I still can't see them coming out on top in the console wars.

Because the Summerdrought affects all consoles not only the PS3.
Because there is no proof of MGS4 SubX360.
Because till Christmas the PS3 will have a pricecut too.
Because "the wallet" (casuals) votes for the Wii and not the X360 arcade.
Because the PS3 has been expensive before and late to the "Next Gen", and still it manages to close the gap in UK.

I'm not talking about a consoles world wide dominantion, only about the fact that the PS3 will overtake the X360 in UK. The rest of the EU is already in Sonys hands (if you don't count Nintendo).

The fanboys in these comments sections with no actual knowledge of the UK's PS3 owners make me shake my head.

Lots of PS3 owners here arn't gamers, They want teh blu-ray or to look cool and buy two games every year. Need for Speed and Fifa.

There are some gamers, but they usually own other consoles too.
