Those guys didn't spend much time on this. Lotsa things they forgot, and lotsa nitpicking there.

Most people I know boil it down to one thing: Microsoft's track record from Windows 3.1 to Windows XP SP2.

It takes a hell of a long time to assuage 10 years of PC aggravation.

I could go on, but i think you get the point. About 30% of 360 titles are FPS/TPS.

And honestly if youre spending your time playing XBLA titles more than real games thats your problem.

xbox consoles are not only aesthetically unacceptable but also made by one of the most cheatiest (yep) companies around.

I wouldn't even mind some of the other stuff that was sort of dumb in the video if people would just stop calling the 360 a shooter console. Guess why I got it instead of a PS3. I thought the PS3 had too many shooters and 360 had more diversity. My games on the 360 are Oblivion, Orange Box, and Mass Effect. Only one of those is a shooter. The next 360 game I'm getting will probably be Fallout 3, and you can't call that an FPS.

A real pet peeve of mine is that the gaming media would rather fuel fanboism rather then not. It's harder to voice a solid concern or idea without being called a fanboy now a days. On a side note I wish people were this involved in the economy and politics as they are about their favorite game company and or system, maybe stuff in the "RL" would get done the right way.

I am kinda surprised they didn't have RROD every other slide. Some they were just grasping at thin air and others were valid points (100mspoints = $125?!?). I still love my xbox but there are some issues with it.

...No ability to make user created content on a pc and bring it over to the 360

...can't create your own gamer picture, even for your friends list

...can't create a theme for your dashboard (ie different pics for each blade)

@RemyDuvalle: Awesome triple, dood. 88% of the must play titles are FPS, and then the other 12% are 3rdPS. Either way, it's all about the shooting. There are countless PS2 RPG's that I'd take over Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata, Blue Dragon, etc ANY DAY. PS3, Wii, and 360 are all bullshit for the RPGamer so far. Except Oblivion, which is fantastic. And Fallout 3 which will be fantastic. Both of which = PC games ported to consoles, but that's OK. The first RPG to come out for PS3, Wii, or 360 that I will consider a personal must-play (that isn't available for PC) is Disgaea 3.

@NutManIV: GOW and Mass effect are the only must haves. The rest are good but not must have. Both GOW and Mass effect have PC versions (Mass effect out in may) so they are hardly exclusives. Which leaves Halo 3.

I used to have nothing but love for my 360. I had a launch console that had never had any issues for the last 2 1/2 years. That is until it red-ringed out of no where last Friday night...

For those of you keeping score, that is 2 out of my 3 next gen consoles that have died on me. (My Wii's graphics card went bad after 1 month.)

Figures that I have been gaming since the 2600 days, owned every major and most minor consoles with the exception of Turbografx 16 & the Jaguar, and never had one fail until this generation. Guess I was due....

Oh shit I need a shield or something for the in-coming fanboys.
@NutManIV: The problem might have to do with the fact that Halo, Bioshock, COD 4, Gears of War and the Tom Clancy series overshadows many of the other games because they get so much attention and/or sales. Hell even Mass Effect had elements for a shooter and the trailers(unfortunately) seem to state that even more. Also remember the original Xbox was known for its shooters as well, so many (people/fanboys) base that knowledge for the Xbox 360.

@Jamaces: A lot of people own standard def TVs. Hell, I used to own one until I got an HDTV as a Christmas gift. A majority of people do not own HDTVs yet, but that should change over the next few years.

As for the video, funny stuff. Still don't have a 360 myself, but in the coming months I will have to. Maybe I'll be lucky and another price drop happens.

Seriously, that's excellent stuff -- looking forward to the other two platforms getting ripped.

I loved my 360 (library wise it's my favorite system of this gen), but hating the RROD isn't just a "fanboy" thing. Any rational consumer should be angry that Microsoft considers it easier to put everyone through the inevitable return process rather than tackling the problem at it's source.

I'll never buy anything else 360 related until they meet that very basic obligation. I don't have much money as it is, and spending it on another system that's going to be in limbo every few months doesn't sound terribly appealing to me.

You have Mass Effect and Lost Odyssey now, so there's now offically THREE good RPG's on the 360.

I used to be a fairly biased Sony fanboy, but after getting a 360 my opinions have become much more balanced. It IS the console worth owning out of the three at the moment due to having the best roster of games.

Although if you have a gaming quality PC, which most of it's better games that aren't already multi-platform are on, you'd be better off buying a PS3.

@Jamaces: I do. The fact that it's blasphemy to not own an HDTV this gen is certainly indicative of everyone's fucked up priorities in gaming these days.

#1 reason the 360 sucks: 6 months and RROD!Thus far 19 replacements/16 360 owners I know including me. Sure they will replace it and give me a free month of live but really. 6 months! Also taking off my CC from the console was a 45 min head ache via a Filipino call center. Why is removing your credit card such a hassle with Ms when Nintendo and Sony just let you remove it via their GUI. MS requires a call to their call center, 3 verifications of the same ID with 3 different people, 3 separate people giving me the exact same "don't leave us we want your money" spiel, and a 30 day wait. Given this I'll be buying my multi-platform games on the wii and PS3.

Why i hate the 360
1. RROD (i have 2 360's im on referb #2 and #4)
2. DRM - going back to #1, now I have XBLA games I can not play, even when connect to live
3. Live yearly fee's (well actually i dont mind paying for the wonderful service they provide)
4. Loud, very loud. I left the ps3 on for a week once without realizing it was even on... so quiet

Why I love my 360
1. It has the games

Well, this is a collection on the most common arguments against the Xbox and Xbox 360... it doesn't have to make them true, but it's the arguments people use. Some of them are very true, some barely true and some outright ridiculous.

I wonder if they will cover PCs, DSs and PSPs too.

"Must have" is your opinion. IMO, Forza 2 and ac6 are definitely must haves, and honestly if you are a PC gamer then you probably don't own a console anyway(I was a PC gamer once myself. ) so its irrelevant to point out that they're(gow, mass effect) on the PC. Most people dont have PCs capable of running Gears or mass effect on decent settings.

I dont even get the point of this conversation here. I told someone the must have 360 games and you replied with "well i dont think those are that good" and "you can get some of them on the PC".
