MCV is reporting that more than a million Xbox 360s will hit Europe in time for this Christmas and another half million by March 2006. The article goes on to say that the Xbox 360 will not be backwards compatible and because of that several major publishers have decided to push back some releases on their major franchises and rework them for 360 release. Finally, the article says that the Xbox 360 will come in a variety of styles tailored to individual release territories that that a hard drive won't likely be a key feature.
Most of this is stuff we revealed last month in our Xbox 360 leak. The one thing I find interesting is that it looks as if Microsoft has given up on backwards compatibility. When I talked to my sources, they were still trying to figure it out. I wonder what exactly is causing such a huge problem for them?
