Flipping through my son's LEGO magazine over the weekend I noticed this ad for a new LEGO Star Wars ship, the Rogue Shadow, that is "exploding from the much anticipated videogame, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed!"
The ship comes with mini-figs of Juno Eclipse, Battle Damaged Darth Vader and Darth Vader's Apprentice. Hit the jump for close ups of the trip of little men. I wonder if this is going to be a new trend, LEGO screenshots.

battle damaged vader? awsome
Can you say: Milked?
Be honest, it was your Lego magazine, wasn't it?
My sister-in-law got it for valentines from my brother. But she hasn't built it yet... the box is just sitting there mocking me.
Yeah yeah "my son's LEGO magazine". Admit it, you know it's yours Crecente. :P
Admit it, you were looking through it to buy something for yourself!
.....ok, I do it whenever I can find a catalog.
wouldnt vader be dead if his suit was that damaged?
TIME PARADOX
Sweet, more Star Wars Legos to add to the collection. The ship looks pretty cool, Vader doesn't.
Lego knows how to make money.
Next up?
Lego Playstation 3 plays Blu-ray Movies, NO SCRATCHING!
damn, this game better be good!
I've been staring at this thing at work (Toys R Us) for a while now.
"over the weekend"
More like every night Crecente.
I was at Toys R Us, and there is TONS of star wars toys for Force Unleashed already out on shelves.... crazy with how far off the game is.
@olliverkirby: Yeah it sounds awesome and all but...doesn't his suit help him sustain life? So wouldn't he just roll over and die without it?
Yeah, I was reading my daughter's Hanna Montanna fan magazine and I saw that they have new Lego Hanna Montanna sets coming.
Really it was my daughters.
could it just be legos from the game, and not a lego game? Would make sense because it was annouced in a lego magizine and not a game magizine, which would make me think its really a toy adaptation they are talking about.
Didn't you guys post this a while back?..seems famillar.I have my SW collection up for sale on ebay..
These are actually out in the stores now. I picked up a couple of small Lego kits for the kids this weekend (they're hooked on Lego Star Wars on the Wii), and they had this kit on the shelf too. Thought about getting it for my older kid, but it's a decent sized kit and I thought it might be a bit too much for him to handle.
Have you guys seen the commercial for the Force Unleashed lightsaber yet?
I couldn't find a vid of it, but here's the product form the toys-r-us site:
[www.toysrus.com]
Until the game comes out, I don't think I'll enjoy this one as much as I would other Lego sets. Of course by the time the game comes out the new wave of Lego's will be out and this one will be $100 on eBay. Collecting Lego lines is way too expensive.
Yeah there was news on this before. And why isn't the apprentice holding his saber upside down, all leet and what not.
I thought I saw it before..back on Feb 7
[kotaku.com]
Still cool though and it was one of the harder ones to put together.You put it together in sections.
This doesn't say "LEGO Star Wars The Force Unleashed". Just "Star Wars The Force Unleashed".....
I want the motorized walking AT-AT, but I don't have any more room to display finished sets. Unless, of course, I start hanging all the fliers (tie fighters, slave 1 etc) by strings. But if they were to break in mid air, it would be disasterous...
It makes me happy to see them producing new SW lego models.
I thought this was the LEGO version of the game itself. Oh well, I guess it'll be announced one day as well.
Announced? Dude, it's been out since Christmas. My little brother got the ship already... It's pretty sweet with the hidden cannons.
@Garro: Dude....their lego,if they break,you put em back together.
Darth Vader's Apprentice has amazing hair.
@enewtabie:
I thought it seemed familiar also... :)
Well since LucasArts is putting so much push behind the game via tie-in products, hopefully the main game is as good as they have been promising.
Next up. Lego Jesus Last Supper and Crucifixion playsets!
What, too much?
Uh...this has been on store shelves for a while. My friend's little brother got it lol.
Way to be late kotaku.
@Buttah: Heh that would be way too post-modern for the Lego and Lucasart corporations: the Lego adaptation of a game based on the original Star Wars films which already have Lego adaptations.
Well, it would be either post-modern, or a really extreme case of franchising gone to the lowest reaches of hell. Which I suppose this is. Lego are bound to run out of original film stuff to put out there eventually, and I for one don't think a "Obscure, unnamed spacecraft glanced in a single frame of Attack of the Clones, although it may be lens flair" playset would be all that fun.
@Garro:
You should see the new ones out in August/Sept that tie into the Clone Wars animated film.Magna Guards,a new republic gunship,a new AT-TE walker,the V-19 Torrent fighter and some more.I've got a nice little collection of 14 or so sets(got that ARC-170 too) and gotta get rid of them for the new baby on the way.
Actually, I've already got this.
It's tons of fun. I play with it all day. =D
Battle damaged Darth Vader, eh? I wonder if that means Vader gets that done to him in the game, I wonder how that would happen.
@Evdor: not too much but not enough
LEGO Ernest Saves Christmas: The Videogame
LEGO Clue: The Videogame
LEGO Lord of the Rings
These have been in stores for some time now. There was even a "Play & Win" contest on Xbox Live back in December that was giving these out as prizes for play Lego Star Wars: TCS.
@VanFinale:
Want a guesstimation based the playable prologue?
Maybe he gets damaged fighting with the Wookies on Kayshykk.You can play as him in the prologue of Force Unleased..but that's me just taking a wild guess.
@SlowDeath420: If they break you risk losing that one piece that you need to connect something and it will drive you mad. I lost a piece to a Falcon set and found it a two years later when I moved.
It may have been wiser to wait and see if the game is actually a hit before they started merchandising it so much. But then again who am I to tell a multi million dollar company what the best business practices are.
I saw this in the store about a month ago. I miss legos.
@SlowDeath420: Well yeah, but can you imagine a bunch of hanging chunks of lego bricks with a scattered pile of small bits burried into the rug? I'm just saying that'd be a hell of a way to be woken up in the middle of the night.
@enewtabie: The Republic gunship and AT-TE are two of my favorite Star Wars vehicles, and lego sets. If they're redoing those I dunno, it's like I want the redone version of the MTT, but I already "have one" and they're so expensive. Maybe I should just go for it and buy more sets, and string up the flying ones. If I was patient and had the money I'd buy the clone trooper and droid "booster packs" and recreate all kinds of little battles. Then look at the floor and understand fully how much of a nerd I am.
I bought this for my son last week and we just put this together. Probably one of the cooler lego products we have. Doesnt fall apart very easy and has a rocket that you can put someone's eye out with.
Knock, knock.
Who's there?
Juno.
Juno who?
Juno what a stupid name Juno Eclipse is?
Sure, I'm used to campy, silly names from Star Wars, but this sounds more like an old school AOL password than a character from that narrative, to me.
@Garro: You'll be enjoying the next wave of sets. They decided to up the price on all new sets ten dollars or more. I think the AT-TE is $125 and the ARC is $110. Fun.
@mishakoz: Interesting... Now you're thinking in portals. :3
Wait, you can trademark the term "Darth Vader's Apprentice"? Isn't that a tad bit generic?
Did they cover "Some dude who learned shit from the guy in the mask" as well, or is that still up for grabs?
Wow, I think this is the second thread we've had about this LEGO. What the hell?
I've got it, it was a fun set to put together... they build style was different enough to seem like they have a new crew of builders working for LEGO
What a pity Lego havent got license when I was young :/
I allways making SW ships - mostly light freighters rarely starfighters.
I must admit some of Lego ships looks awesome (ARC-170, Firespray)
but some looks weird like this one.
This is the one of the ugliest ship in SW universe.
To bad Doug Chiang is no longer Lucasfilm member.
He made great E1&E2 ships.
I want to see Lego version of Dash Rendar YT-2400 Outrider and Jan Ors Moldy Crow. Or I need to back to my hobby.
@XidZen:
Outrider?? Shadows of the Empire?
You can make it from the parts of the Star Destoryer.I think it's one of the extras you can build.
@doubtful: Any worse than Luke Skywalker?
I gotta say, that set looks pretty damn awesome.
Does the apprentice, who we will be playing as, not have a name?
I saw this, it was on the last page of my Lego catalog from January. Actually I have it right here. And I'm not afraid to admit that point (though I stopped getting the magazines a long time ago).
I don't think it looks too bad. I might get it sometime but not right now. (I'm saving up for those huge models of the Falcon, Star Destroyer, and Death Star. Those kick major arse.)
I saw this on LEGO.com a month ago.
This thing has been out for a week or two. I found a pile of Republic Cruisers and bought one of those instead since they're pretty rare to find in stores. Now... to get my Ult Edition Falcon and cry for a week.
I also get this magazine. If I remember right this article is a good month or two late.
@enewtabie:
Well I havent got Stardestroyer.
I have a lot of M-Tron, Blacktron, Pirates and Technic sets.
So its little bit hard to made Outrider but Moldy Crow could be easy :)
as much as i love starwars and lego's, this ship design is vry bad to me personally.
@dunetiger : apples are red:
I got one of those a few years back. And the TIE interceptor. I'm going for the Star Destroyer next. Although thats a long ways off as I'm not so much into Legos as I used to be so it will be when I have money and only crap games are out.
SOMETHING, SOMETHING DARKSIDE....SOMETHING, SOMETHING LEGO
didnt you guys already post about this a few weeks back? lol
@Bleentastic sees bandwagon and jumps: I'd so play Lego: Clue...
You know what would be funny? Is if the game turned out to be awful. Even for a Star Wars game, the level of hype for this thing is kind of nutty. Yes the technology behind it sounds interesting, but when was the last time a Star Wars game, one by Lucasarts themselves anyway, all that great?
