Sounds like it's making baby steps in the right direction. For the most part though, it looks like generic fantasy shite. I'm SO BORED of D&D/LOTR style fantasy.

@ErskinPig: You do realize there's a pretty gigantic difference between LoTR style high fantasy and Conan style fantasy? It's two different genres.

Whereas you'll find elves and orcs in high fantasy like LoTR and Warcraft, you'll find over the top violence, demons and lots of nekkid ladies in "low fantasy" like Conan and Heavy Metal.

Honestly, I'm sick of fantasy. Not to jump on any bandwagon, but you have to imagine there's something more exciting out there.

Conan has a rich backstory, a lot of personality, and the game sounds like it keeps to the vibrant and exciting source material.

All you people are whining because it has a sword in it, but that's 3/4 of video games. Are you seriously on this site because of your undying love for the extremely rare Sci-Fi title?

Looks positively horrible. Lousy art direction, animations are awful, combat looks clunky, slow and dumb.

I've played it. I was most underwhelmed. "Fast paced combat". If you mean pressing a button repeatedly then yeah, it really is a rollercoaster. It looks pretty but some of the models are fugly. Its going to flop and that upsets me because I was really looking forward to playing it. Oh well.
