Why does Napolean Bonaparte look like Vince Vaughn?

I guess I'm going to have to dig up my copy of the first Civilization. It's funny how games of Civilization only take like half an hour now because everything happens so fast on newer computers.

It's not the first for consoles... It cropped up on both the Amiga and the SNES!

I will probably have to buy it. I'm like Mel Gibson's character in "Conspiracy Theory". I have to buy Civilization like he has to buy Catcher In The Rye. I'll probably own both the Xbox 360 and DS versions. Shit, I don't own a PS3 and I can see myself buying the that version too! =p

They best add Cyrus/Persia to the website. I've seen screenshots of that Civ previously in the game and I won't buy it if it lacks my favourite units and culture now all of a sudden.

@Conor M: Console exclusive, entirely. Been stated it's never going to be on PC. Take that with a grain of salt though.

Ah ok thanks guys. It does look kind of stupid graphics and content-wise, but I just really like the civilisation-specific units and army formation and stuff... I'd like that on Civ IV.

when I first heard of this i pulled out civ4 again. i'm effing owning the mongolians so hard with my arab doodz. I'm looking forward to xbl pwnage. wow, that leet speak stuff doesn't really jive with something as nerdy as civ...

I am very glad that we are getting some slower paced multiplayer games on the consoles. While I enjoy running around shooting everything that moves, it is nice to get games like this to help counter-balance the mayhem.

Now instead of just shooting my friends, I can also break treaties with them and invade their lands. ^_^

Cleopatra looks horrible caricature of that Thandie Newton (The girl in Mission Impossible 2 and Chronicles of Riddick). Apparently the Egyptian queen also doubled as a lady of the night or something.

Should be a nice game though.

Apparently there is no hotseat multiplayer. A real shame IMHO, as part of the point of consoles is to hang out with a buddy or three drinking beer.

I was about to say, "hope they don't make it too retarded for the consoles." But, then found out (through the wonderful commenter's here) that it won't be coming out on PC, which makes me somewhat happy, but kind of sad. Oh, well least I got Civ4 still.
