Ten bucks is too much to pay for 4 maps - given that it will just be another set of locations to get my ass handed to me by ... well ... everyone.

$5 - and I'm in. I'd pay another 5$ for an invisibility suit though... ;-)

Well, I love COD4 and I play it enough (a lot more recently), but $10 just sounds like a lot for only 4 maps. I will wait and see if they decide to drop it a little before making the plunge.

What's up with PS3? Are we going to get some love or do we have to wait over a month again?

I'm already thinking about trading in my PS3 copy for a 360 version, simply because of the hacks and cheating that are going on, and still going on after the patch. and no, I'm not complaining because I suck, I'm not half bad (not great either, but I can hold my own on most maps), but there's already been videos posted showing people using the cheats. Infinite health, ammo, and being able to see player tages through walls give some people a disgustingly unfair advantage and kills the fun of online play

Is it just me or have they not made a peep about these for the PC? Kind of ticks me off. They will gladly release it for the consoles but because its hard to charge everyone for something that used to be expected FREE, they would rather not release it on the PC at all. I miss the days when games came with new content when ever a patch came out (BF1942 tended to have 1-2 new maps with vehicles and weapons every single update).

Hmm.. $10? $8 would seem to be the sweet spot. I definitely wouldn't mind paying $2 per map, even though I'll probably still fork over the cash.

Kind of irritating how the 360 is always the priority, though.

Any word on if they will be free in a few months? I don't know about everyone else but COD 4's maps don't seem to make a difference in gameplay from level to level.

This is still a better deal then the Halo 3 maps. I still feel ripped off after paying for that one.

Hmm. I've been thinking about buying a second copy of this in the Xbox (none of my friends have a capable PC or PC FPS desires), so I may feel like it, since free bonus maps always appeals to me. I wonder if the game will sell for full price, though?

@JackTretton: no hes stating that the xbx360 sold the most units of CoD4 by a ton. PC saw well under 500k in sales compared to millions on consoles.

Personally I think its too much. $5 is quite reasonable. if they wanted to be odd, even $7.

But hey, they can charge whatever they want. I just hope they make a way for you few who buy the maps to be able to play just on them, and not be stuck with all us people without them.

@JackTretton: No, don't be foolish. The most sales of COD4 have been on 360. Although they could make the game for Wii. It just wouldn't look nearly as good. They'd likely need to rework a lot to get that to happen. I have no desire to play it on the Wii. People complain about the 360 being for FPS and then complain about the 360 being the priority for an FPS dev. These maps will be coming to PSN, that announcement came from Xbox.com. Thus you FAIL at determining when I have FAIL. I think you should go FAIL yourself.

To the people talking about PC users being able to create their own maps and mods, while that's true, most ranked and good servers only use the officially released ones. Since the good, ranked servers are the only ones people don't cheat on consistently, that means we're stuck with official map releases. While the maps that came with the game are great and still fun, it'd be nice to get some more variety.

So I got 16 days to enjoy RB6:V2.

These maps look great. Not just cheap sub ins for a quick buck like I've come to expect from other DLC packs. Creek in particular looks gorgeous, and interesting. Looks like that map may actually promote sniping. Which I don't partake in, but I'm still happy for the sniping fans.

its lame that the people who supported the game as soon as it came out get hosed for another 10 dollars to get the maps and the GOTY buyers will get it for free.

i was planning on getting this for PS3 because i already have it for PC and was told the console market for the game had a better community and if a GOTY edition is coming for PS3 i might aswell wait before i buy it the GOTY is usually cheaper. :P

@JackTretton: It actually isn't the best selling game on 360. That's Halo 3. Again, this story is sourced from Xbox.com so the pack may very well be coming to PSN at the same time. IW already said it is coming to both in spring. The real questions are about if or when it will come to PC and if it will be free. April 3rd is a Thursday so it is likely it will come to PSN on that same day.

Damn MS and they're micro transaction whoring. We've clearly crossed into no man's land concerning pay to play DLC but there needs to be a damn boycott if only to show MS that paying for Xbox Live & $60 for a game entitles us to FREE DLC.

If Sony had half a brain they'd let IW release these for free on the PS3.

Maybe if more people actually bought the game on the PC instead of pirating it the sales would be better and then you could stop complaining about the 360 having priority.

@weasl: That would be quite the marketing steal for Sony if the PS3 map pack was free- without having to buy another copy of the game. If I was Sony and had the budget I would do that for my install base, then make sure every COD4 ad everywhere said as much.
