Be sure to check out "Tales of the past III" it's been featured here at kotaku and got pretty good critique. From what i saw of this movie tales of the past surpasses it, it's really comparable to real blockbuster movies imo

War of the Servers is a full length Machinima using Garry's Mod. I loved it, but it's pretty cornbally and can feel a bit disjointed at times. About all I can really say is, don't take it too seriously (it's part comedy), and that it's better than the version Tom Cruise starred in. MUCH better...

Really not that funny

Harnold, and his t2 lines, Bridget, well, I don't know what to say about her. I'm wondering how will this last a whole movie? Everything that's in there, are taken from other movies.

Eh, the dialogue kinda sucked, other than Harnold. The writing in Myndflame's Illegal Danish and even Zinwrath stuff is vastly superior. This isn't to say it is spectacular itself, but in comparison to this.

It shows a lot of stuff that is coming in future episodes and is IMO more impressive than this. It's got the voice actor guy from real movie trailers in it and a TON of impressive scene translations including Star Wars, Princess Bride, 300, Wizard of Oz, When Harry Met Sally, Titanic, Terminator, and Fight Club

This is the best Machinima flick I've ever seen. I think this blows away Danish and Zinwrath, but thenagain I know people that like Garden Channel better than Comedy Central. To each their own and bring on more MMOvie!

Sadly, the best part of it was the intro. While technically brilliant (for a wow-machinima), I just can't stand it when people actually say stuff like "OMG". The jokes and storyline just won't get off the "the internets"-level. Those 10 Minutes made me want to choke that nightelf-girl to death.

Anyway, get that guy a decent script, and I'd be looking forward to the outcome.

That was truly horrid. I mean it was fairly well down regarding production value, but that can not possible make up for how unfunny almost everything is.

I agree, I didn't actually laugh out loud like when I saw Illegal Danish: Super Snacks or anything. I can see it getting old fast though.

It wasn't bad, this coming from someone who doesn't play WoW or follow any of these kind of 'movies'. The night elf character almost gave me reason to shoot myself at the beginning, but it's an excuse to waste the odd 10 minutes I guess.

The "movie" was humorous though. But if the first part is the end, then there's really not much substance to the whole thing.

@Mendorian: Gotta agree with ya, the real funny bit was seeing her stomped to death by the Fel.. productionally, it looks phenomenal, but scriptwise, it's like being belted to a chair and forced to watch another spoonful of Epic Movie. I'd rather watch Illegal Danish.

It's really well done, but couldn't they've pick a better thing to imitate than the "____ Movie" franchise? Just making references to 10 year old movies and over done Arnold lines with no reason to it isn't very funny.

That was pretty awesome. I would be embarrassed to watch that clip with anyone else in the room, though.
