Looking forward to some new Nintendo announcements? Might want to hold tight until about July, according to Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime. He tells Geoff Keighley on the newest GameTrailers TV that the company will be announcing the second half of '08's line-up at E3. What's on tap? Mostly misdirection and fanboy teasing, it sounds like.
When asked if the orchestra conductor demo from E3 2006 would make an appearance, Reggie said "Who knows? Maybe that's one of the things we'll talk about at E3." He similarly dodged a Donkey Kong Wii question.
Fils-Aime said that Nintendo's post-E3 releases will be "maximizing all of our key franchises," teasing something the hardcore userbase will be frothing over. F-Zero? Pilotwings? Something Zelda-related? What is it?!
Reggie was cagey. "There's gonna be a big game for the holiday that the gamers will want," he said. "All I can tell you is what we announce during E3 is gonna be fantastic. The gamer is gonna be excited and the expanded audience is gonna be excited."
Who wants to start making some educated guesses? I've got a rupee on Kid Icarus. Wait, scratch that. Tingle Prime.

But, I wouldn't put Kid Icarus past em...although it would have to be pretty sweet to make it a 'must have'. Here's hoping for a 2 1/2D Metroid. Doubtful though ._.;

@Tiger-Fever: We'll have at least one new IP in Disaster Day of Crisis. But they said maximizing existing franchises. Too soon for a new Zelda, maybe we'll see a video of it but I don't expect it until Holiday '09

By purchasing No More Heroes today, I've got no game left to wait for on the Wii.

Would love a Donkey Kong game similar to DK64. A Wii iteration of any of Nintendo's good franchises would be welcomed.
I'm really anxious to see what they're doing with the Zelda series now. Maybe Link will talk and it will be more story driven.
@Dude From Dubai: Last great Starfox was 64 in my opinion. Starfox Adventures was good but wasn't really a starfox game and Command well... that just sucked.

While my inner fanboy screams "OMFGBBQ11!!!1! N3W ZELDA FER MII!!" I think that'd be pretty unlikely but mostly unnecessary. A new Kid Icarus would be pretty cool albeit unexpected. And I don't know anything about a Donkey Kong Wii, but maybe, I guess that could be cool.
Not to get get off topic, but ever since that Unreal news the other day that mentioned they would tool for Nintendo's next-gen system after the Wii(obviously a-if they make one and b-if it's an actual graphical system comparable to the ps4/xbox360-2) my mind has been racing with what a possible UE4-powered first-party(zelda,mario, etc) game would be like..
And then, after every time I think of that, I tend to wet myself, so excuse me. Again, sorry for being off topic, just sharing.

With my luck, it´s "Mario Teaches typing ruturns" or "Zelda Link´s Dance-Dance" instead of "Punch Out Wii" or any of those pilotwings/starfox/f-zero/donkey kong continent.
Like Capcom releasing "megaman EX-R-X-WQAT Ultra hyper no megaman in this title but another kid with pokemon looks" instead of a new Maximo or GnG.. hell whatever.
I´m sure as hell that´s not Startropics Wii or Sherazzade Wii.

I personally loved the on-foot parts of Assault, it just needed a little polishing in the controls department.
While I'm still waiting on Smash Bros Brawl...I couldn't give a fuck what you have to say at E3 Reggie. So before you go on about what gamers want, how about you push forward the EU release schedual. Because SD cards are real cheap now-a-days....

I don't think anyone has said this yet, but Wave Race 3? I dunno how popular that series is but I remember playing Wave Race 64 and Blue Storm tons. The Wii remote would make for a nice control scheme too.
I could go for some new Earthbound/Mother!
