By this open shirt and other dress I think it's supposed to be a homosexual character. Then again I assume all such 'vendors' need to be bisexual for the sake of gameplay generally. That's how they worked in the early Elder Scrolls titles. I would love to see characters like that back in a new tES. Not for some cheap gimmick, but for the environmental design. In Arena you could talk to crooks, witches, fortune tellers, 'showmen', as well 'whores'. It had a very unique feel to it.

Oblivion kind of tilted back to the more adult audience, and I loved that -- quirky characters that had twisted 'adult' motivations were some of the best humor in that game and the expansions. If the game was for kids you couldn't be as true to the world design -- especially for the twisted Shivering Isles. I was 'quite assured' of the 'maddess' of a certain smith for example.

I guess I'll wait for Fallout and see how Beth handles that IP -- maybe they can merge their ideas into that game universe smooth enough it feels the same yet improved with the increased abilities of modern consoles and PCs. I'm sure they'll bring back a lot of the great 'gags'.

I'll wait and see what this really means before I either choose not to get it and keep my heterosexuality, or choose not to get it and die due to lack of weapons.

@goddessakasha: If that is their intention, they shouldn't count on stereotypes of gay preference. I'm a 'mo and I don't find this guy attractive in the least. Believe it or not, probably only a minority of gays are flaming queens, and I find them incredibly annoying.
