About a week or so ago, we finally finished our taxes, took them to the local tax office and handed them in. All and all, it was pretty painless. Now, I still have to fill out an American return and send that off. Now the pain begins! It's not that big of a hassle, because I pay taxes here in Japan, and I just hafta let Uncle Sam know that.

In the States, I know my parents have an accountant handle their taxes, with my dad running his own business and all. But, I'm curious: Do most people do their own taxes or have accountants do them?
