Ladies and gentlemen, for your viewing pleasure, I present a slew of screens from my hands-on time with Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. There are some multiplayer shots in here as well as images from the single player mode including many of the character designs.

Damn I cant wait to get this game!
Hi Flynn!
These screen make the game look very small. One of the greatest things bout Civ 1-4 was the huge maps you could play. These ones look like you can only have 1 or 2 cities per civilisation which would suck so hard.
This new CSS profile is really shitty! It's clipping ma' images!!
Ah! Some Civilization nostalgia!
I fear for this game on consoles. Flop imminent.
Hmm... I was actually more excited before I saw these. I noticed they labeled the "Sinai River" - which seems to indicate playing on a very realistic Earth. I hope the continent generator is still there. Half the fun of Civ is recognizable cultures within a new geographic world (otherwise geography plays the fated role it always does and things have a hard time being much different than they always turned out). It also looks small, as Nayl said.
Looks like some of the negotiation possibilities have been neutered too, which is a shame since they've been building those up for years.
Hopefully it will just get better and my fears are just screenshot-misunderstandings!
Mmm, can't wait for the DS game. Civilization on the go ftw.
@iskew: Yeah, I've had the same feeling. From these screens the game looks way too cartoonish and seems to offer way less possibilities !
Throne room back? Hell yah
The big question is, does it contain Leonard Nemoy ?
Im still disturbed by how "Tokugawa" is wearing his swords on the wrong side.
Other than that really looking foward to this game!
@iskew: The last update featured a picture where you NAMED the river - so I assume the random world map still exists.
"Sire, the whole town only contained 8 gold! Here you go, I kept it in my pocket!"
Is it too much to ask for a game to have a realistic economy or at least one where you can't personally carry your entire civilization's wealth on your person?
@Excalibur: Think of 8 gold as more like 8,000,000 in whatever currency you feel like.
They've just applied a ratio so your screen isn't filled with zeros.
Just like the unit system.
I have never played Civ before, but I really am getting hyped to play this one.
It is nice to see more multiplayer games with a slower pace hitting the consoles. I thought Catan and Carcassone were both excellent fun despite their slower turn based play styles. Keep 'em coming devs! ^_^
@Zeouterlimits: Oh boy, 8,000,000 Hungarian pengő!
@wired_fenix: Civ is great. The best 8 hour stretches without a restroom break ever.
@Tetelestia: It must be good to not stop during a turn based game. ^_^
I might have to go buy a copy of Civ 4 and give it a go.
