Remember this horribly freakish Pikachu stand up? If not, his digital doppelganger is here to remind you what nightmares are made of. In this spoiler-filled clip of a hacked version of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the cast of the Wii fighter has their move sets swapped, resulting in some very odd animations and horrible disfigurements. For those who don't want to spoil themselves on many hidden characters, just re-imagine Brawl as if Chris Cunningham and Richard D. James had provided the game's direction and motion capture.

How, from a technical side that's pretty impressive. It seems as if the animators rigged all the character models and animations such that they have the same "bone" structure, which makes this swapping possible. That's why the characters look deformed, because basically all the bones are being told where they need to be for proper animation. That is pretty impressive stuff and leads to fun YouTube videos like this.
The warped Pikachu and Toon Link will henceforth invade my nightmares.

The creepiest of the ones I've seen so far are easily Freakachudorf and the Peach/Sonic amalgam. Meta Link is up there, too.

Ganondorf's cape is an inanimate object? It's as stiff as a board. Also if it were possible, they should have made Toon Link cel-shaded.

It's likely "cardboard" for the hack because it's a unique feature to Ganondorf and has no equivalent on Captain Falcon.
