Stand aside PlayStation 3, the ITC One media center (including an Xbox 360, Wii, HD PVR, etc) is now adding a Blu-ray player to the mix. After snubbing the obviously missing PS3 because it's not "user friendly," creators at SE2 Labs have decided to compromise on the topic. So while not offering consumers Sony's gaming platform in their uberconsole, they will support Sony's hi def optical format.
I think that I speak for everyone here when I say, I was really on the fence about purchasing an ITC One. But now that it's packing a Blu-ray player, it's a no-brainer purchase.

@ Mark Wilson
Please tell me that was sarcasm. So hard to tell on the internets, but if that wasn't sarcasm, I'll need to go cry now.
Ahahaha, for some reason i'm reminded of the Megazord.
Man I too was on the fence but now....I'll take 3 please
Now will it talk to me in the computer voice of Joshua and ask me to play Chess with it.
@Setzer IIDX: Your sarcasm-o-tron is broken sir, I suggest you seek repairs. :P
Wow, a bargain!
@Tull: Pfff... I want SHODAN to punish me for using bittorrent...
They need to add more ugly.
"*~I think that I speak for everyone here when I say~*, I was really on the fence about purchasing an ITC One. But now that it's packing a Blu-ray player, it's a no-brainer purchase."
I'm pretty sure it was sarcasm, wouldnt it be a shame if that 360 Red ringed? what did they really do here though? take a bunch of stuff and just put it in a box?
What a valuable investment. That thing must weigh a ton.
What a rediculous piece of machinery. But I guess if you have 25k to burn and need a robotic overlord to watch over your kids, this seems like a no brainer purchase.
In 4 1
Whats especially funny is it seems to have to have a separate DVD drive for the 360 and wii, I'm guessing theres probably a 3rd one for the blueray as well.
This machine is for people who have everything with money to burn and who don't mind spending even more money for stuff they don't really need but must have just because the can afford it. Sounds like me and a friend of mine.
wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy the pieces separately?
@feegore: infinitely
@feegore: Where's the fun in that? Nothing says I'm richer than all of you than buying a piece of useless gadget for more than a price of a regular car then lord it over everyone else.
@feegore: much, much cheaper. But then you also wouldn't need the ridiculous amounts of cooling it probably needs, nor the hideous and over sized case.
The PS3 isn't 'user friendly'? What a stupid argument. Say what you will about it's price, game selection, and online offerings, but anyone can see how the XMB is one of the best user interfaces of any console. It's simple, effective, and intuitive. By comparison, the 360's 'blades' have all the grace and subtlety of a retard with a mallet.
And to include a blu-ray player that ISN'T a PS3 is just stupid. Better to just buy a Wii, and an HTPC (since all the best 360 games come out for PC anyway) with a blu-ray drive, and you just saved yourself about $20,000.
Have they even sold any of these things?
i could make a competing product and add a custom modded ds - the kind you can WRITE ON!!
that would sell like mad.
Wow, what a waste of money.
I'm thinking of combining a Wii and a PS3 with an Apple TV... time to find a case and see if the Blu-Ray drive on the PS3 can read Wii Games... Or do they spin in the opposite direction. :(
At 25k it better call me Michael Knight.
I predict a much more expensive version with a Surface attachment will be in the future of this machine.
Yikes. How does it fit in an entertainment center and how do you plug in Gamecube controllers? What a strange product.
For a rig this expensive, you'd think they'd be able to make a Wii faceplate that matched the rest of the tower.
@SchoolBusDriver: lmao, yeah no kidding, what a waste of space.
They're still missing their demographic. They need a PS3 and more importantly they need to offer a choice of gold or platinum and a name that's easy to rhyme with. The only people who can afford this are the terminally rich. Most people who are rich usually got that way for a reason (read: Not spending $25,000 when $5,000 would get you much the same and more.) Now back to why gold and platinum/a rhymable name are important? Well, the only people with lots of money who don't expect to live past 30 (so saving what money they get isn't a sensible concern) are rappers, and no self respecting rapper would even try to drop "ITC One media center" in a song.
So did they just like tape a bunch of consoles and shit together?
@Kanti_V2:
The blades are fine. There's no argument about it. They work, and people who can't figure them out are retarded. No console interface is even remotely difficult to figure out for anyone who has ever used a computer.
i was thinking of getting a new car but i would rather spend it on this, right...
they should add an N-Gage so we could take this outside and do some sidetalking, don't you think?
lame.....it looks like something that belongs in the 70s
@frankbeans: haha...my thoughts exactly
This looks like the fastest way to get an RRoD by overheating the hell out of your consoles.
@Kanti_V2:
By comparison, the 360's 'blades' have all the grace and subtlety of a retard with a mallet.
Pardon my harsh language, but what the hell are you talking about?
The best part is how limited the number of people you can "impress" with this thing actually is. Its not like a Ferrari or something most people would recognize.
I also don't understand the lack of PS3, because the one legitimate use for this thing I can think of is the ability to, while working on developing a game, put 3 or 4 different platform versions of it in this one box and rapidly switch between them to see how they look compared to each other using the same display.
Of course a developer could easily throw this same setup together in a larger and more wire-laden package, so its still somewhat baffling.
That is the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
Yeah, that will fit into my enteratinment center....
Seriously, how easy is it to get funding for something stupid these days?
I have an idea for a PS3/360 Jukebox style system, where all your disc based games will sit in the Jukebox. You just have to press the button for the disc you want to play. Just think, no more disc scratches and no one can ask to borrow your games!
It will come with a classic 22" bulb screen and cabinet. Anyone want to fund my idea?
@Maximus9: Brilliant!
God that thing is so fugly. I wouldn't even take it for a hundred. Just looks too shitty to be part of any home entertainment setup.
why its so big?
LOL 25K and no PS3 in it. That is just a rip off.
So, it'll blend now, right?
Wow, so even if they had included a PS3 in there, it would still be 25X more expensive to buy them seperately......smart move, me thinks.
Is that skynet?
I want one, just so I can paint "WOPR" on the side.
For that money I'd rather have a new car. It'd probably last longer.
Just checked the company website - - - 25,000 doesn't even include the Wii in it. You have to pay an additional $450 to have the Wii included!!!
[www.se2labs.com]
What a fucking piece of shit this thing is. Anybody who's bought it should be banned from spending money for being so stupid and encouraging this kind of garbage.
And how the hell is a Playstation 3 non-user friendly? I find it to be one of the most user-friendly gaming machines I've ever used.
I KNEW I should have waited before I got mine! Will they offer a upgrade kit?
@SuperMaxZero: Consider your language pardoned. To clarify what I thought was explicit in my post; the 'blades' are moronic. They take longer to navigate than the XMB, the aesthetics are horrible, they're not intuitive for non-geeks (since what interface isn't easily usable by a tech-geek?), and it's little graphical animations are unnecessary and cheesy. It's the least 'user friendly' of any console.
I wish they would overhaul it to something quicker. Or at least to something my elderly parents, or my young children can pick up and instantly work if they just want to watch a movie (like the XMB).
expensive duct tape. does it include a 3 year warranty?
@baked ham: It's got that pesky problem of required installation for some games, and if that's what they are implying makes it non-user-friendly, well, I disagree. It doesn't effect the user-friendliness at all, in my opinion. Anybody can figure out how to play a game on it, just like all other machines. Put a disc in, if it requires installation, then it says "Hit X To Install." Hit X, it does the rest for you. Pretty simple, pretty easy, pretty friendly. My point is that it is easy to use and offers a lot of functionality and plays some great games... so why do the Wii and 360 deserve to be in there but not the PS3?
Bah. I'm not typing anything rational right now, please forgive me. It just pisses me off seeing such an ugly overpriced monstrosity of hardware shittiness and to know that people are actually buying it! Their product is ridiculously non-user friendly. You can't even access the Gamecube controller ports on the Wii. You have no convenient access to the 360 if it happens to suffer failure like many of them have. Where the hell do these pricks get off making fun of the PS3 when their own product is infinitely shittier?
Damn. Think I'd rather have a nice car... or a down payment on a house.
That is one ugly machine.Not worth 25k.
fugly, huge, can RROD/DRE, costs 50 pairs of its parts (that glued together take-up less space and look better).... You've gotta be a moron to create or buy this. Suitably looks like a garbage-bin, btw.
It doesn't have a PS3? So I even with the shape of an over sized toaster it can't make paninis? I think that is the sound of George Foreman weeping.
Um, 25K and it doesn't even have a waffle iron? Not fucking likely. I'll stick to my 60 gig waffl...uh PS3 thanks.
@torched: Blast! If I hadn't spell-checked, I would have beat you to it!
PS3 is the most user-friendly of them all. wow what retards. Media Center is even easier to set up than 360's Media center. and how is XMB not user-friendly?! wow. lame...
oh and the only reason i wouldn't want PS3 in there is because it'd increase the size by half!
and err... how is it $25,000?!
@TitillatedOcelot: Use Firefox. It spell checks forms automatically even though the built in dictionary was put together by a 12yro.
Man, who gave the ok to fund this craptastrophe?!?
I wish I could meet someone who is planning on or has purchased this, so I can kill their face.
Given how little intelligent thought has probably gone into the making of this box of shit and the obvious lack of intelligence on the part of any of its potential purchasers, I'm surprised they didn't pack in an HDDVD instead...
