If you're the type who decided that the Gradius II version of the Vic Viper starfighter should represent but a fraction of your PVC space armada, you may want to hunt down an import retailer for the follow up. The Gradius III version of the Vic Viper doesn't deviate too far from the design path, but comes in a classy off-white and with a sleeker chassis.
This model kit from Atelier Sai is similarly priced to its predecessor at 4500 yen (or $42 US). It ships in May, after the the previously posted Vic hits hobbyist shelves. The backside of the ship is after this.

I need this, Gradius III is my favorite game. Does anyone know of a website taking pre-orders for the Gradius II Vic Viper? Maybe by the time I finish with the Skygirls Vic Viper and get and complete the Gradius II one, I'll finally be good at assembling these things.
Sweet. When I was a child we had stuff like Major Matt Mason and such...of course, that was during the hoopla over man first steppin' on the moon. But yeah, I would have loved to have seen that under the ol' Christmas tree too!
I never buy model kits, but this could be my first. The other Gradius ships like Lord British, Jade Knight, and Falchion Beta (and maybe even the Alpinia from Solar Assault) should be model kits if they aren't already.

I can't wait for the review. I wonder, can you take the cowling off the wings and see nipples? What about the fuel-lines, is there lacy underwear, or is just Ken-doll in there? Does it come with a place to stick an option, if you know what I mean?

Is there something like this for the R-Type ship (Round Canopy)? I love Gradius (OPTION!), but R-Type was my first, and you never forget your first.
oh man, I recently went through my SNES games and found Gradius III, then I totally remembered playing that game a lot when younger.

If only I were good at constructing then painting models. The last time I tried to put together a model it only led to headache, cut fingers and glue just about everywhere.
