Kilik looks pretty awesome. Maybe a little too evil for his personality, but we'll have to see how/if it fits the storyline. Kilik's one of my mains along with Siegfried and Hwang, so I'll use him regardless of the justification.

Sadly, my hatred of Xianghua and her tantrum move still persists to this day, so I'll only keep on beating the hell out of her once the game comes out.

Kinda like how I use Jigglypuff as a training dummy in Melee, come to think of it. Every fighting game has some character I just can't stand, so I beat the crap out of them whenever I'm practicing.

Awesome. I wonder how many more copies they plan on selling because of the SW characters in each version...

Kilik and Seung Mina were always good for me. A good combination of range and speed.

Heh. Can't wait for this. Kilik looks sweet, though I don't use him. I'll stick to Siegfried, Mitsurugi, and Sophitia. I am willing to try out Vader though, just for fun.

I like how they threw it back to Xianghua's P2 outfit from Soul Calibur 1.

It was the tantrum move combined with her universally (both in Japanese AND English) annoyingly high pitched voice that killed her for me. There's nothing to like!

...on the other hand, Namco better bring Hwang back for this one, as a full character instead of as Assassin or a "bonus" character, or I will be very displeased, and I will dispose of them using Vader.

Kilik was always too simple for me. I loved Xianghua. She was so unpredictable. She wasn't uber fast, but she could really switch things up. Her wake up game was also the best.

But I love how varied the palette is for this game.

I don't know about Xianghua's outfit being that skimpy when compared to the boob-fests of other characters.

I think it's Mitsurugi that's universally despised.

Kilik looks as campy as ever, I'm just wondering if Mitsurugi is as horribly overpowered as he was in II.

Ugh, Kilik. If you have a friend who always used the cheapest character possible in any game you play with them they will inevitably choose him. I have nothing against the character but in the hands of a player who will do the cheapest moves over and over and over he can be quite infuriating to play against.

Agreed. I used to wreck people's shit with Hwang back in SC1. Then they phased him out in favor of that goofball Yunsung, who isn't even a good character. I've kinda never forgiven 'em for it, actually.

But apparently they brought back Hwang in full, as opposed to being a gimped bonus character, for the Arcade version of Soul Calibur 3. Maybe he'll be back for real in the console version of 4.

Xianghua has always been one of the more modestly dressed and proportioned SC girls. Yet her outfit is shrinking too.

Eww, Xianghua's face looks fugly. I cant stand her, she talks and yells an screams too much when she fights. Just shut up and fight, bitch! Anyway, Lizardman's textures look great, and Kilik's new outfit is whack.

These are some fantastic screenshots.

Despite criticisms of SFIV's facial expressions, I'd rather see some form of personality in characters faces besides the default happy, sad or angry faces that always seem to appear here regardless of the screen.

Nitpicking aside, I was wondering when these three were going to show up. My friend is going to be happy knowing his boy Kilik is confirmed for SCIV. His Kilik, Ivy and Talim are some dangerous people.

Also, Takuji Kawano's art looks as awesome as ever.
