Remember that Xbox 360 Overlord DLC I told you about that was coming out in November? Happy November everybody! After a string of several delays the promised free split-screen multiplayer pack, the Raising Hell expansion to the single player campaign (800 points) which includes new levels for each of the game's five realms, and the Challenge Pack (400 points) with seven new multiplayer maps and Legendary difficulty mode for single player are all now available for download via Xbox Live. I was wondering why I saw two folks at GameStop picking up used copies of the game. Now I know, and knowing when your product is actually going to be available before issuing a press release is half the battle.

Of course this would come out while I lent my copy to a coworker.
I was wondering why me and my roommate couldn't play splitscreen...
Is the PC Raising Hell available, as well?
Is this game any good?
I would say that this game was ok. Its a good think I keep every copy to every game that I have bought for the 360!
@unicronband:
Yes. It is like... evil pikmin.
I am very happy for these expansions. They will be worth my pointseses.
@unicronband: I absolute adhore this game. I went so far as to buy a 360 controller to use with the PC version. I essentially paid around $100 for this game because of that and feel it was worth every penny.
I was slightly disappointed with the game, but only slightly. For the most part it was entertaining just having your minions destroy everything, but I think if they had increased the level of interactivity the minions had with the environment (scrambling up walls, leaping off the tops of buildings, throwing objects at enemies, etc.), then there would be even more mayhem and it would be a lot more entertaining.
I played the demo of this. Didn't like some of the voices, but it was pretty damn fun.
I guess I'll go pick it up cheap!
But did they add a map???
Nice...I just recently played the demo of this and rofled at the whole thing. I should pick this up.
@unicronband:
once you get used to the controls its not bad.
i had fun and i need to play it again to get some more achievements but boss battles are hard to me because of the control mechanics.
I loved this game on the 360. Cba to get it for the PC tho as I already know the storyline and it would be incredibly tedious.
Also I bet the PC version doesn't get this addon.
Well anyway, Mass Effect can't come soon enough for my rig I tell ya.
I was thinking of picking this up too (probably used, I'm a cheap bastard) even before I knew there was new content being released. The only problem with this game is I doubt it can come close to being as evil as I'd hope it could.
The game was... serviceable. I really enjoyed the minions and the story was kind of fun, but some of the design choices were a little crazy. Twice I ran into game ending bugs in the 360 version (the critical mission stuff wouldn't load), and you have to grind a little for the currency to make new minions. Still a neat little game, I hope that they make a sequel and fix some of the issues.
@Candlejack: PC version did get the addon in some regions.
I really enjoyed this game back in the day, but I honestly don't think i'm going to spend that much money on DLC for a game I beat twice and haven't played in months. If this came out in November, it may have been a different story, but now, 3 months late? No.
PC Version was also 20 bucks cheaper.
@eastx: good question, might make me play the game again...
*Waits patiently for new content to show up on Steam*
Fun game. I should go back and finish it at some point.
I never got tired of the little guys picking up stuff, hobbling back to me and saying, "For the mastarrrr!"
But man, the in-game cutscenes are so bad. So bad.
I enjoyed the demo way back when, but not enough to pay full retail. As soon as it gets cheap enough, I'll definitely give it a shot.
@Tale: Oh...I take that back then :)
Overlord was one of my fave 360 games of last year despite the healthy competition. I probably would download the content even though I have enough stuff to play right now but my 360 got ROD this week and is off to repairs. I guess I'll see if I'm still in the mood when it comes back.
Meanwhile it's Assassin's Creed on PS3 for me - encountered a gamestopping bug on my 2nd play night. :-(
@Strangelove: Pick up a used copy at Gamestop. Its like 25 bucks now.
Blooooom.
Wasnt this out on the PC version already?
@BryanGuitarDude: Some regions got it.
The split screen and Challenge pack were available last night for me, I downloaded those, can't wait to get off work and download the Raising Hell pack tonight.
well i was trying to get through this game for the first time, but I got the ever so lovely red rings of death. The retard customer service is sending a prepaid box to my university post office, but they said they didn't need my box number. This is going to be a fun game tracking my damn box this week.
Retarded man I really should proof read.
Love the game, downloading now.
I just wish they'd realize that the multiplayer is the weak link in the game and just give up on it. Focus on the bits that matter.
I had fun with the demo, but couldn't get into the full game. Odd.
This game was pretty fun but i've long since sold my copy. Maybe if the DLC wasn't so damn late I would have kept it.
@cableshaft: What them drinking then pissing wasnt enough for you? ;D
brilliant game and written by some creative people. the standout character game of last year. i dont know how well it sold in the end, but i hope it was well enough to reward those responsible. first game i bought for the 360 too.
