Sony officially opened their Walk of Game Tuesday. The Walk is the video game industry's answer to the Walk of Fame in Hollywood. Tuesday's grand opening saw the induction of some of game's greatest icons like Atari co-founder Nolan Bushnell, Donkey Kong creator Shigeru Miyamoto and Sonic the Hedgehog. The walk, which is located in Sony's Metreon, features giant brass plaques with stars and a person's name. Bushnell seemed psyched to be remembered, at all.
Thank you very much for this honor. It's always fun to be walked on wherever you can be.
San Fran mayor Gavin Newson showed up at the event, but was quickly rushed from the scene after trying to decapitate Sonic.
