I've had Twisted Metal preordered for a couple of weeks. I can't wait to play it. good thing I played the hell out of Assassins Creed and beat it today. AC is a great game too.

Already ordered DMC4. I'll probably pick up Culdcept early next year in a bargain bin and be pleasantly surprised, but I can't rationalize a purchase right now.

@Lain: Perhaps. The PS3 version has achievements and they do use the XMB to an extent. I've played over 12 hours so far and have several of them unlocked now.

This rather tame flow of quality games is a lot more manageable than the Q4 War of '07, and for this I am grateful. I might get Devil May Cry 4 at some point, the demo was much more fun than I thought it'd be.

My Horse and Me? Huh. Sounds about as exciting as the John Deere farming game that just came out a while back, or last year's Lionel train game (seriously, WTF were they thinking when they came up with some of these games?).

DMC4 for me. Probably gonna nab the collector's edition for it too. The pure "blue-ness" of the case looks better than the regular edition to me.

Also, should be receiving Lunar Eternal Blue on Sega CD any day now...yippee!

Already ordered CULDCEPT. I'm a proud member of the "50-medal club" in the PS2 original - played it over 200 hours over 3 years. So I've been waiting for SAGA for a long time.

Culdcept and DMC3 are in my top 4 games of all time (along with Perfect Dark and Smash Melee), so DMC4 is also an eventual must-own. But for $20 cheaper, I'll start with Culdcept and grab DMC later on.

DMC4 PS3 for me...then Lost Odyssey next week. What a great month for games!

@Purple Dave: "Cheggers' Quiz" takes the cake. It's the only game that's actually made me want to physically throw up when I see it on the shelves in shops. If there's any sense or mercy in the world, its release was limited to the UK.

Ah, Assassin's creed. that was faster than I had expected. I hope it's good. Culdcept sounds a little funny. You always have to wonder whats going on when they put the name of the devs in teh game.

Might pick up DMC4 for 360, no point in getting PS3 and having to swap consoles all the time

Already picked up and beat Turok. I really didn't think it was as bad as everyone was making it out to be. The pacing was top notch and the flash backs reminded me of that movie The Hunted. Also seeing the guy with your team's flag get tackled by a raptor and then shooting him when he's down is never getting old.

Other than that DMC4 - beat the Burial in the demo like 10 times already (so getting an S on that level) and I can't wait.

I've played the beta, and it's pretty good, partly because it's very different from anything else out there. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes both 4x and RTS games.

I'm still without my 360 after its sudden departure half way through Mass Effect, over a month ago. Imagine my glee when I received my newly repaired 360 on Monday, with fully working motherboard, ready to finish Mass Effect- only to find that the disc drive *will not open*. It looks like they sorted the motherboard and simply forgot to reconnect the DVD drive power after repairs.
Imagine my further glee (and this is the salt on the wound, people) when I was told I was entitled to a *free game* as a result, selecting 'Viva Piñata' as my choice from the [rather limited] list- only to find that, instead, the game's horribly disfigured progeny, 'Viva Piñata: Party Animals' was sent in the post.

My broken 360 now waits packaged (using old plastic bags) in a box that says 'Back Bacon' on it. So no, I will not be enjoying the thrills of demon [or Piñata] slaying any time soon.

Rant over. Sympathy: Enabled.

I'm only buying My Horse and Me if it allows me to use grenades to take out swarms of enemies.

I mean, that's a feature that redefined the horse-raising genre, and I'm all for seeing it in other titles.

Buying Culdcept this week, my copy of No More Heroes is also expected to arrive. Waiting to see more reviews on DMC4, the demo didn't drive me particularly wild.

I'm shocked no one's really interested in Downstream Panic. From what I've seen the game's beautiful and should be a blast to play. I'm this close to buying a PSP and the only games I'd be buying it for would be Patapon, Downstream Panic and Disgaea.
