This is shocking. So so shocking. It's so shocking and TOTALLY NOT SAFE FOR WORK that we're putting the gallery after the jump, and the pics in the gallery have been censored by the site that originally posted them. Well, it's not that shocking, but it's certainly NSFW! Japanese figure-centric site Moeyo.com has a review of SEGA Prize Dead or Alive Kasumi figure designed by figurine sculptor Shunya Yamashita. Moeyo takes the regular Kasumi figurine and removes her plastic clothes. For those who have never seen a Moeyo review, be warned. They embarrass her. Horribly.
Moeyo censored the pictures. And no, the figure's breasts don't have nipples. Moeyo added the tank top for shits and giggles.
Kasumi Figurine [Moeyo]

Oh Japan. Where were you when I was 13?
She deserves it for all the cheap KOs she got in DoA4 on me...
You know what's even better than that?
ACTUAL breasts.
Remember, no matter how nerdy you are, fat chicks need love too.
Umm In Japan I guess. I laugh at anyone who buys this.
I'm surprised this didn't happen earlier.
I'm sure their next project will be Soul Calibur.
WTFx2: why a topless figurine and how could you leave out nipples? if you're going through the trouble of making a topless doll you might as well make it accurate.
i suppose from an engineering aspect the clip-on cloths would be more complicated to fit around little bumps, but why not go that extra mile? It's boobies! Boob them right.
@InsomniaBob: What are these...actual...breasts...you speak of?
A shame indeed. -_-
@p3hrmne: They have the nipples. The site the pictures are from just censored them.
I couldn't help but laugh when I looked at these pics. I always love seeing figures with removable cloths. It reminds me that I have much more room to expand in the field of perversion before I can no longer consider myself normal.
I like boobs.
@p3hrmne:
It's not supposed to be topless. It's, you know, just a regular figurine that has been stripped. Moeyo took it apart in their review!
i like boobs too. i dont what kind, they're nice! :P
@psycoking:
Oh, and no they don't. From the site: 乳首造形はない ("There's no nipple molding.")
@InsomniaBob: A diet is what they need.
I prefer the Max Factory figure. If I was into that stuff. Which I'm not. Nope.
Yay boobies. So that's what nipples look like. Strange. I thought they were different.
@Brian Ashcraft: oops. Well I've seen other figures on import site that advertise removable cloths as a "special feature". I thought this was one of them.
@Furious_Liver: an urban myth. dont listen to ondore's, i mean bob's lies!
Personally I prefer the nude patches for DOAX1...
@Brian Ashcraft: but why go that far? why not go the way of other figurines and have a painted on bra, just like how she has non-removable underwear. they could easily design something to fit with her costume. just as easily as they could include nipples :P
@InsomniaBob: Frankly, despite
the delusion that this thin, anorexic society harbors
towards fat women, I am certain that they probably
get just as much "love" as the beanpoles out there.
Life ain't a frat movie, kids...
God knows I would've ended up seeing this on danbooru if it were still alive.
No, I have no idea what I'm talking about and I'm sticking to it.
@p3hrmne:
Well, they probably didn't think people would rip her top off and post pictures of it on the internet.
@Brian Ashcraft: For a Japanese company making strippable action figures they're surprisingly naive.
@InsomniaBob: Sure , but who's going to give it to them?
@Brian Ashcraft: correct me if im wrong, but is this really that uncommon in some japanese works? i swear, ive come across nipleless game/anime characters, and just kinda mentally wrote it off as being some weird cultural thing like when japanese porn has the naughty bits blurred.
...or so i'm told.
Censoring...nipple-less figurine...
@Brian Ashcraft: you may be right. they probably thought people would keep all that to themselves.
@TheIrishNinja:
Does Barbie have nipples?
@Sabre_Justice:
Look at Moeyo. It wasn't exactly a cake walk to strip her clothes.
@TheIrishNinja: Or the sculptor got lazy and figured since no would see them he could leave out the nipples... tho more likely he's got a special anatomically correct prototype for himself.
I know it's a figurine of a videogame character, and I know it's not real, and yes I do date and have sex fairly frequently with real females, but still...
that ass shot is kinda hot.
it still bothers me that she has no nipples. i mean she has an outfit that shows off the breasts for some reason, but no nipples! poor Kasumi D:
@Crome: Yeah, I would laugh at anyone who bought this as well. Except, well I have them on order as I love Shunya Yamashitas work and have all his previous pieces. Most are not like this but some do are cast-offable.
@Crome: in japan, YOU'LL be laugh for NOT buying this.
:3
Sorry, no nipples... no buy!
@Onizuka-GTO: actually in Japan, they laugh at otaku's as much as we do. There is a big misconception that they are not looked down at the same way nerds are in America. It's not true, there are just more of them. And way more places that cater to them. But they are still ridiculed (unfairly I say to each his own)
@kuzuboshii: Sure, if you like surgeon masks on them. If so, that's totally cool. I'll just back away slowly, and you have a super duper day!
@Nex Antonius: Dude, surgeon masks are hot. Sometime I stab myself just so I can go to the hospital and be worked on in ER. All those masks, HOT.
@kuzuboshii: I can't wait to keep on thinking about that.
God of love this site. Thank you for introducing it to me bash.

Now if only I could get Japanese text to show up properly on my work pc...
amazed at the quality of detail they're managing with figures nowadays.
Hurray for boobies!!
@psycoking:
Awesomeness..
I recognize Lupin and Snake, but who is the third shooter on the crab grassy knoll?
@VishusBurn (PSN) Vishus: I think that's Chris Redfield.
@psycoking:
Hahaha that's my pic of the day!
@psycoking: OH MY GAWD.
I lol'd.
@psycoking: Epic lawls.
What beautiful...eyes.
I get the 'hot tears of shame' bit and I get how its somehow loosely related to gaming but still - posting this seems pretty irrelevant to games and serves little point but to ogle. Imagine your mom reading this. As a gamer I dont feel any more informed from reading this. Look at this post again and decide - is this what you want Kotaku to become?
Are... Are her nipples censored? Censorship.... on a doll? Are you serious? Wow, that's pretty damned low...
@psycoking: That was just awesome, first school is cancelled and now this? Today is gonna be schweeet!!
@Rajio:Kotaku isn't just to "inform". It's a blog about videogames and the culture that surrounds it. Every post isn't going to be a giant reservoir of information and insider know how. Simply put, Kasumi is in a videogame, Kotaku is a videogame blog. Nuff said.
@Rajio:
Who said we were here to inform Rajio? I sure as shit didn't.
Fair enough. I just (personally) dont want Kotaku decending into being all about toy boobies (or boobie toys)
@Rajio: It HAS BEEN THIS WAY for MONTHS!
And, y'know... WE LOVE IT!
@Rajio: And, FYI, usually this kind of posts are adressed "After Dark", so it's obvious that you should take them with a NSFW and NSFVM (Not Suited For Viewing Moms) grain of salt.
Live and let live, young Padawan. If you don't go after the jump, the level of offensiveness in the main page is close to zero. Your/aour choice, isn't it?
