I'll ask again. Do you want to take a possible early look at the feature film adaptation of Konami's Castlevania? We have 32 pages worth of the live action film's script, which feature a host of classic franchise characters—Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades from Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, Christopher Belmont from the two Game Boy Castlevania entries and Elizabeth Bartley, the succubus from Castlevania: Bloodlines. The portions we were handed weren't dated or credited, so we're unsure at which stage of development these scenes featuring Belmont family member Christopher and castle guard Lucius occur. The film was one of the casualties of the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike, with production of the Sylvain White-directed adaptation halted in December. Spoilers, of course, abound, so if you feel like going into the Castlevania experience fresh, move along.
UPDATE: At the request of NBC Universal's legal team, these pages have been removed. For a quick look at what the Castlevania live action movie is looking like, check out our impressions.

Wait, so are these from Warren Ellis' animated screenplay, or is this the live-action one?
Any more weird goat sex talk?
>.< Please let Kevin Sorbo be Simon Belmont!
This is not as strange as the Dragon Ball Live action movie but not by much.
@Archaotic:
I second the question: is this the Warren Ellis version? As a Brit, isn't he immune to the whole writer's strike stupidity?
off subject but when i was a kid dracula in the backround reminded me if count chocoula went evil and started killing people /end childhood rant.
but....idk if i should be happy or sad.
You got it via yourself?
So they're sending you screenplays now. Sweet.
I know that if people were combined some of the neater devices from the whole series, a really good plot COULD be obtained. However, I'm not really interested enough to read it, so... is it any good?
From what i've read i'm actually impresses. Once the writer's strike is over i hope they get to making this.
I hope this'll be good.
This is definitely a video-game-to-movie adaptation I would love to see. But then again... we know how those usually work out. :( Still, I have faith!
Wow, they're using that much from the games? Interesting.
from what i can see already this is gonna end so badly.
It looks to be more hollywood formulaic crap, with corny dialogue, and cliched characters this is gonna be another opportunity for roger ebert and co to exhibit how video games are "tasteless and artless" and should not be made into film.
i mean come on name how many movies you've seen these formula(s) been used before.
@TourettesKing: you shut your mouth. ok, if its warren ellis. if its not, then hey, youre prolly right.
CHARLES BRONSON AS BELMONT PLEASEEEEE!
@burningranger01: At first I read that as Charles Manson! Either way it won't work.
I would love to see Malcom Mcdowell as Dracula.
I think we should, collectively as kotakuites, write our own screenplay. And then cast it. I call zombie #3. IrishNinja you want Lucius? Who wants to be dracula? Crecente? Ash can be death. ooh maybe I'd rather be a harpy..... Witz? you do wield the banhammer now. Legion? Or maybe he'd make a better death. Damn this is hard.
@ConstantCupcake: As long as I'm not the Succubus. Can I be the Merchant? Check me out: "What can I do for you? Hehe, Thank you!"
Am I great or just spectacular?
@Erwin: You're grrrrreat! But can you pull off the robes?
@Erwin: "I'LL LOWER THE PRICE...I'LL LOWER THE PRICE!!!"
Rat bastard never lowers the price either. What a cheap ass. THATS THE LAST TIME I EVER CURE YOU FROM A FATAL DISEASE! >:O
@ConstantCupcake: Fahey is Death. Witzbold is Final Guard. I'll take Skeleton Waiter/Bartender. EAT FLAMING CURRY! MUHUHAHA!
If this is still the anime, was any concept art released? If live action, were any casting decisions made?
Damn, I read it. It looks like it was ripped straight from some B-movie in the Sci-fi channel.
I thought they were aiming for Simon Belmont? How come it's Trevor (AND CHRISTOPHER!?!?!?!?!?) with Sylpha.
It's like they're going for something like: "The Belmonts is a well-known bandit/marauder family. Then they chance upon a dark castle wherein they discover they were from a line of noble-blooded vampire killers!"
From the direction it's going, I think its gonna be "Van Helsing Part Two"! Maybe even worst... at least Van Helsing had a VERY big budget for all the spectacular CGs.
That's what I got from reading those snippets of the script. Also, I'm not a big fan of Mathias/Dracula inside an armor. Judging by the script, I think they're planning to keep him in the armor (something like a Darth Vader character) until near the middle/end where he finally shows himself and fights the Belmonts.
It's great it got delayed. I hope they fix all of these. Sorry, just my own opinion.
I haven't read it yet, but I perused. I like how it's all marked up. Who found this and how? Interesting.
Anyway, I couldnt find a writer credit on it anywhere... is this still written by WARREN ELLIS?
@HighlanderWolf: Maybe, maybe not. Non-Americans can join the Writer's Guild of America. And if they have, then they can't write works for production by American studios.
Chuck Norris as Simon Belmont. They could ditch the whip and just go with a roundhouse kick to the face!
What is a screenplay? A miserable little pile of lines!
But enough talk... have at you!
@ConstantCupcake: No one wants to see that.
Oh, wait.
Warren Ellis's draft was entitled Castlevania: Dracula's Curse, so this seems to be the same material, making it likely his draft. Also, the writing style is similar to Ellis, at least as far as I can tell.
As for Ellis's membership in the WGA, from the horses's mouth:
"I've written two animated films
(MINDBRIDGE, unproduced, and
CASTLEVANIA, pre-production) and a
cable tv pilot and I don't even
qualify for membership in WGA."
Oh, and FYI:
