Would be great, but I recently ordered this game for my Dreamcast. It's in the mail and on its way. Still an updated XBLA version would be phenomenal! Why not?

Hopefully he actually follows through on this one. Who knows, maybe Rez HD would start some sort of domino effect that would see the release of Ikaruga on the PSN as well.

How many people actually missed this one? It was originally released for Dreamcast, right, but it got a PS2 port...with both of the original games in one set...I managed to pick it up for $5 at a local Circuit City cause no one had seemed to want it...o_O...Rez was always really hard to get a hold of because of the limited printing (I literally never saw the game, new, on a shelf)...but was SC5 just poorly marketed then?

I'm definitely picking this up for XBLA. Rex in 5.1 = the end of all life on this planet.

Rez on the Wii, por favor. Come on, gimmick or not you know the motion control is just the thing to really suck you into the game like never before. (I know I know, sounds like your typical marketing BS line, but think of it!!)

Now Space Channel 5 on the Wii would be great. I loved those games and think that if there is the possibility of a remake or a new SC5 game, they might as well release it on a console that can add something new and fun.

I tried playing a random 5-minute segment of Space Channel 5 one time at a con. I couldn't figure out what the hell I was doing. I'd certainly like to give the game a real go, at some point.

Also, any game that leads to cosplay this hot gets an automatic thumbs-up. Good find, Bash.

You couldn't get it on XBLA due to the crappy size limitations unfortunately. The whole game is one big FMV with real time animations put over it. They had to compress the hell out of it to get it on the GD roms. One can only hope that we can be Chu Chuin' with Michael Jackson once more!!! that's only if you want to...

The biggest gaming mistake I've ever made was selling Rez (PS2) to GameStop after I beat it. I want this on the PSN soon please.

All I remember about Space chan 5 was how hot ulala was and that a michael jackson lookalike was in it.

Yes you do have a reason to make it, if you don't I swear I will make my head explode. Just wait till after the release of Rez HD. They will make it and I will come. They know that nostalgia sells and I love it.

The reason would be that it was seriously awesomely kickass and the new gen needs that level of giant win.

A Wii version of Space Channel 5 would be fantastic but I certainly wouldn't be disappointed with SC5 HD (provided they ditched the FMV backgrounds, of course).

There was something about this game that made it alot of fun even though I sucked at it...a remake would be nice

That picture is reason enough to remake Space Channel 5.

And I always just assumed Rez would be coming to PSN at some point. Bring it on! That's one game I'd actually pay for... hell, I've already spent $150 on it (one DC copy, one PS2 original copy, one PS2 re-release copy), what's another five bucks...

The only thing keeping Rez off the PSN is the lack of widespread dual shock 3 sales.

The game NEEDS vibration, its part of the experience.

What i'm REALLY hoping for is it sells well enough as a XBL/PSN game to justify a full sequal.

I don't really want to see Space Channel 5 re-released with more pretty... so much as I'd love to see a new next-gen SEQUEL.

Heck, this could be an incredible episodic game... a couple of levels for the same price as a pack of Rock Band songs, released as they get built... that smells of fresh win cooling on the window sill there.

Of course, my wife still takes any opportunity she can to tell me how much she hates overhearing "that game that goes 'choo! choo! choo!'"

I won't hold my breath, as I have that collectors edition on the Playstation 2 *got it new at Circuit City for $2.99 can't beat that*.

SC5 was great. SC5 2 was better... but neither have loads of replay value for me.

Rez PSP - that's where it's at. PLEASE put Rez on PSP - better yet, new levels! But Miz never listens to me, lol...

But.. By the way, According to Magic Box.. there IS a Wii remake on Space Channel 5....
