@ConfuciusMax: i played the demo on my friends 360 and it is really that bad, the targeting system is TOTAL J-U-N-K, it probably would have been easier to club people to death with my shoe! than have to use that to shoot at anything

Who cares,who wants to play battlefield...2042 anyway.BF 2142 was boring and the sci fi setting just didn't work for the fans as they showed with they're wallets.So imho i don't see what would make them think that another futuristic bfesque game is what we want.Especially in the AAA shooter loaded year we have this year.Of course i might just be biased being in the beta and having the knowledge of just how average it is :)

I will be shedding tears for this loss.

What is this game even about and reading some comments here, I see the demo was really bad.

I really like the backstory for the game. It's pretty cool actually and the demo wasn't terrible to be honest. I'm gonna give it a rent when I get the time. It was much better than the Dark Messiah of Might & Magic demo, I thought that was terrible but it had some promise so I'll give it a rent later too. Today seems to be delay day though, seriously, delay week actually since in the last week we've had this, Haze, Brawl, and Battlefield Bad Company all delayed in the past week. Something else too but I can't remember right now.

All joking aside, I think the PlayStation 3 will have a better year for having been "neglected" this game.

The PC version seems horrible from trying it, had no plans to purchase.

@SlowDeath420: I happen to like bf2142 and for those playing BF2 and giving it a chance they usually like the way it has been changed, and the classes and balancing is very tight. Also the furturistic element isn't cartoony like Quakewars or UT, it is one of those rare multiplayer games that actually respects me as an adult. There's no spaceships or laser guns here ad no macho voice taunts. The walker feels much more realistic than the one in quakewars and is more useful (in my opinion)
It's probably my favorite online game among all those I play, including:

I'll probably pick this one up on PC anyway--what I've played was a hell of a lot better than some other titles (Battlefield, I'm looking at you) and Frank Delise made Desert Combat, the greatest mod post-counterstrike ever created.

@Ehardergardens: Lots did dude,no offense.Just a cold hard fact,Every BF game was a monster seller except 2142.And just to be clear it did sell well compared to other shooters of said time period but didn't even scratch BF2's total sales.

Too bad the 360 demo was god awful. Was I going to taint my PS3 with this? HELL NO! ( We had a party at work breaking the demo discs :D )

How many wargames are out and coming out (not in the "don't ask don't tell sense," hint hint) again? Jesus, the saturation's making me wanna go hippie and just shell out for a copy of Harvest Moon.

Oh no, they can't buy a bf2 clone.

The pc beta is pretty damn good. has the potential to do very well. The remote control helo/bombs are way too much fun. Nothing like hiding in a good spot and flying an RC copter around the map landing near unsuspecting players and BLAMMO!

I guess everyone forgets these are the guys who made the Desert Combat mode for BattleField 1942. They're pretty talented.

Luckily the 360 demo was pretty much crap. I wouldnt buy it either way.

@WatershipDown: they are talented but the demo was shiz, granted it could change, but as a ps3 owner and past 360 owner i have to say that i wouldnt buy it based on the demo, and its utter crappiness

Perhaps THQ realized this game is a bust and wanted to cut down on the ballooning dev costs knowing this game will just not sell very well even on 360 which caters to these types of games more.
