HAZE has become a HUGE pass for me. I'm taking my pre-order and placing it elsewhere now. I'll have 20 better shooters by the end of '08-'09. Resistance 2 will be out and is bigger and more ambitious in every single way. I'm done waiting around for HAZE. **** it.

More dev time = a better game, though! Not always the case. THere have been plenty of times where many high profile games have been delayed time and time again, yet still end up being the definition of mediocrity. I gave Free Radical 2 delays, and one long delay, but they didn't deliver. TOo bad, so sad, my $60 will be spent somewhere better.

I ALMOST caved in to pre-ordering the game just to get that stupid syringe pen. Glad I didn't.

I had heard of this before 2008, but it was just a rumour at the time. I honestly didn't expect the early 08 release.

Plus, at this point, I lost all hope for both the game and the UK studio. Once the title eventually launches, it will be incredibly outdated (mostly in terms of technology). Thanks for nothing but promises.

I want to call game delays unprofessional, but at the same time I know how hard it is to make a product perfect. It seems like companies just feed gamers faux release dates to keep them anticipated for the release.
Then slap us in the face with "next year sometime" statement. :/

Haha.. good because this game is horrible. I played it at the studio while seeing a friend who's on the development team, and I couldn't bear to play it more than 15 minutes.

Delay it all you want. As long as it's good when it hits. This isn't one of those AAA titles that will make fans moan. Just don't pile them all up into one time frame again.

Last year's holiday lineup resulted in many poor-ass gamers.

I was kind of looking forward to this game. I still need a defining reason to buy a PS3...please...anyone.

Good to delay it than have it be TimeShift.

Its not the devs fault its the guys in charge. Maybe its pressure from the publisher tempting FRD to be over optimistic with the scheduling. Seems odd theyre doing so pants these days.. considering how well they did in the PS2 era. Team size issues?

This seems a whole lot more like something bad has gone down then the game simply being pushed back. A whole year before it comes out? This game has been shown since early last year, something is going on.

Before, we thought that PS3 games would be ahead of their time. Looks like we are getting to the "time" ahead of the games.

@BD: TImeShift was delayed 2 years and remade. Look how that turned out. HAZE is on path be be another TImeShift.

It was suppose to be, and thats what sony labled it as but pc gaming mags let it slip about 6 months ago it was coming to the PC also which confused the hell out of me as well as made me laugh when sony said it was an exclusive.

Wow, some early impressions and everyone is calling it as shit. It's got a decent amoun of time left and it's Free Radical. I'd rather have Timesplitters 4 this year than Haze, but don't totally write it off.

I like the art design and premise. I hope they turn it out to be good in other regards, as well.

I thought it was an exclusive. It was on a video in PSN and one of the DEVs or whoever was talking about the game and he specifically said EXCLUSIVELY on PS3...unless things changed?

Well... that sucks. I was looking forward to this game.

Resistance, Uncharted, Motorstorm and its unending downloadable content, Warhawk, free PSN, Ratchet and Clank, Folklore. Plus almost all 3rd party games r on the ps3 so u get assasins creed, madden, nba, burnout.

@meltyman: Man, all the downloadable content on Motorstorm should have been on the disc in the first place. What you get on the disc of Motorstorm sure as hell isn't worth 60 dollars.

I was actually interested in this game, but my interest has waned. It'll take a really kick-ass demo for me to change my mind about wanting to pick it up.

I too was looking for a reason to buy a PS3 and my answer is Blu-ray. I want HD movies, why the fuck not buy a player that just happens to also be a PS3?
(maybe it'll also quiet the 360 fanboy that lurks inside me that I keep quiet so no one notices......)

There's no level of how NOT surprised I am to see this delayed. Everything they've shown of the game looks like it needs work- the Ai and gameplay more than anything else. It was obvious from the last showings that the game was in no condition to even be 'beta'- no way ready to ship this season.

Amazon.co.uk has had it listed as December 30, 2008 since December '07, so they knew at least a month ago. So it's no surprise to me at all. I think the game will be canned and the company's doors will close.
That's my Pratcher prediction, especially with the current economic climate.

@Candlejack: That really is not much of a reason to purchase a 400 dollar machine. I am now seriously contemplating picking up a PS3 in the next week or so, but when I look past the BD movies, I don't see a whole lot of exclusive titles, and of those I do see, few pique my interest. And MGS4 is definitely NOT one that interests me at all; hated the other games in the series...always seemed second rate/phoned in with "zany" (to use a nice term) Nipon humor. Cardboard boxes, really?

Uncharted and Warhawk have me wanting the PS3, as well as Ratchet and Clank...but what else? Any game that goes to the 360 will be played on the 360 by me. Haze? Looks awful. Lair? Yeah. I strongly dislike JRPGs and UT3 is a hated shooter.

So, for some of us, the need for a reason to buy a PS3 is a wee bit stronger than one game. Or a movie format.

I think at this point, they could can the project and hardly anyone would notice. I can understand a delay once in a while, but once a single product is delayed more than once, I file it under "unprofessional." I don't need a fake release date to keep me interested if the game is good enough.

The way I see it, is if you are unprofessional enough to delay more than once (or a total of over a year), then you are probably unprofessional enough to not know how to make an outstanding game.

Sorry, Free Radical, but unless your game gets some amazing reviews after it's finally released, I don't think I (or many others) are going to give it the time of day.

Guess what game wussed out from competing with the big leagues Killzone and Resistance 2? Doesn't matter. I'm probably not going to buy any of the three...wait...maybe Resistance 2. 100ft monsters is just beastly.

They got a look Resistance 2 and panicked.

Just give us the 360 version and hold the delays.

@Kosher Infidel: MGS...either you're a fan or you're not. Can't argue with you over it. For me, it wasn't the reason to buy a PS3, but it counted a good 50% in.

Should give you a good idea of 'em to help you decide. It's totally up to you, I don't mind if you pick another console over what the PS3 offers. That's just personal taste.
