This is a commercial for the upcoming Interactive Achievement Awards. No idea why it's so funny, but for some reason, it is. I think it's his face when he throws the papers down on the floor. So cheeky. Not really sure why Mario's so afraid of his dry-cleaning, either, but there could be a number of explanations. He might just be afraid of tipping. And by afraid, we mean "not interested".

lmao. I don't get it either, but I laughed. Maybe I should go to bed:p
This was lame, sorry just boring. Now this [www.youtube.com] is funny :)
I would love Mario to do a dirty sketch :D
Haha, that was pretty good. I don't understand the message though =/
I have no idea why the hell that was funny, but it was.
I believe it's a panic attack caused by memories of Hotel Mario.
Lol, good commercial.
That made me giggle
Trying to catch him to accept the award for Interactive Achievement perhaps? Either that or that guy is packing heat.
Lol perfect costume.
Haha no idea why that amused me either, whats the guy calling him just as hes getting to the door? Couldn't make it out, didnt sound like Mr Mario.
Why am I laughing? hhahaha
Oh, that's so funny...it's a guy in a bellboy outfit...wait for it...chasing a guy in a Mario outfit for 30 seconds. Comic genius.
I think it's a comment on the fact that Mario hasn't really been seen out of his trademark overalls and putting on a tux is just not Noble Plumber. But yeah, it's not funny, but tossing the papers made me laugh.
LOL!! WUT??
hmmm that was random.
Yeah I thought it was pretty obvious, Luke: It's an awards ceremony so he has to wear a tux and doesn't want to change out of his overalls. What's to get? :)
sorry, but I didn't find it funny at all :(
I NEED me a Mario costume like that. I'd wear it casually around the house or when my house gets another goomba infestation.
@Kenofthedead:
Lol i remember that.
@Irenicus-the one and only:
that video is so made of win!
@plushrevolver: :)
I love Extras, seen the one with Radcliffe (harry potter) where hes a naughty boy? lol
lol, deffo the papers
He can't avoid the overpriced dry cleaning bill, and by accepting the dry cleaning, also accepts to pay the bill.
That Mario costume is damn cute!
How dare they try take away Mario's overalls!
@Irenicus-the one and only:
lol, Extras is always brilliant.
I lol'ed
*scratches head*
Don't want to be the party buster here, but...
WHY did he give that tux to dry cleaning when he didn't want to wear it?
Must be second thoughts I guess!
Would be funnier if they said "Mr. Myamoto INSISTS you wear this!"
That was funny. :D I think the guy just scares him. But you may be on something with the tip thing. :)
@jesp3r: me too
Hahahaha
lol thats hilarious! how do u guys not get it?! ITS OBVIOUS!!! mario is the bellhops favorite character and wants to meet him!! (and give him his dry cleaning) it even said at the end, "your favorite characters are coming to (insert name of event here)
@kjcollins: I have to disagree.
What I got out of the clip is that mario is playing a game with the bellhop. It is a role reversal of sorts.
Mario obviously has no reason to fear his drycleaning and he even pokes his head around the corner at the end to get the bellhop chasing him again. It's all just a game.
Mario is a bloody cheeky plumber.
I lofl'd.
Anyone in a giant costume of a silly looking character running around from someone in an equally silly outfit and knocking over papers and vases two try and create a barrier would be hilarious.
nyak nyak nyaaa! :-D
Isn't the bellhop the "husband" from the Sonic commercials?
Now those are funny.
@dunetiger:
That's what I got too.
Much like me, I believe the message is Mario's aversion to suits/tuxedos. I told my wife that other than our marriage and my funeral, I doubt there will be a suit donning my fat, gamer ass anywhere in between.
That, or what Dunetiger said.
@dunetiger: Have you never played Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! before?
Bellhop high jumping papers lying on the ground = funny.
It was good for me, was it good for y......oh, that bad huh?
I got a chuckle out of it in the end.
Funny indeed. xD
Didn't get the message but still made laugh.
Look! They jump over some pieces of paper...deadly paper Dx
Wall kicks will work.
Mario has no more coins to pay the bills!
Did I lose my humour?
The little bit where Mario throws the vase and paper on the ground -- Mario, you're a jerk! :D
That was pretty funny. Doesn't really match the message they're making at the end of the commercial, though.
Funny that Mario would be frightened to wear a tux, when he's been in a doctor's outfit, an archaeologist, a bee, raccoon and frog suit, and technically he was already wearing a tux or magician's outfit on the box for Super Mario All-Stars.
@Kenofthedead:
Seconded.
If he is scared of/doesn't want to wear the tux, couldn't they get him a garish red and blue tux? And now we need a tux costume for mario in ssbb.
Dang, Mario was really charging down that hallway. They should have had him hold his arms out and added a little deedledeedledeedle whistling sound effect, ala SMB3.
I have no idea what the point of this commercial is... but it is entertaining.
i laughed.
also, the bellhop is one of the guys from the Sonic commercials. you know...the ones where two people are in a car and talking with each other.
also, if you don't have a Sonic in your town...i pity you.
lol
The hallways/doors remind me of those in the dataDyne building in Perfect Dark 64.
Anyone seen this crazy product too? If it hasn't been featured yet Kotaku should make a post.
[www.amazon.com]
I don't...get it.
