It would appear that the Xbox modding business was a lucrative one, as the subject of this particular clip—thank you, Danny—seems to have quite the mortgage. There's not much to add to 1,500 original Xbox hard drives falling down in succession, but we certainly don't recommend disposing of yours in a nearby pond. Think of the fishes!

It wasn't one continuous shot which makes it less appealing to me.
I watched the video hoping that the house would catch on fire at the end with no survivors.... Let's just say i was horribly disappointed by the ending ; ;
Modding xbox's is 99.999999 percent of the time done for illegal purposes.
I hope horrible horrible things happen tothis person for the rest of their life.
I hope no one takes offense to those remarks because those aren't MY feelings... just the feelings of ALL of America.
That was awesome.
...................Did that just happen...
Microsoft could probably circumvent the world like that with as many non-functioning Xbox360s that got rrod.
LOL someone needs to flash animate that with different landmarks and stuff on the background
lawlz
Those Hard Drives are very poisonous for a lake, i sure hope they removed them
LOL, just when you think it's going to stop...
*fudadadadada*
Unbelievable. No, really. How many different shots were there? And with only TWO cameramen? Either one was running to their next point while one filmed, or they just set it up repeatedly. For all we know, it could only be 300 harddrives.
Screw the HDDs, I want to know how big this house is.
how and why did he obtain so many HDD's?
also, i can't believe i watched the whole thing. as others have said, i was waiting for something out of the ordinary to happen...
There's something sick and wrong about someone with that amount of time and money.
Wow, the guy was really bored.
Also, I don't believe that ALL those were just 1,500 discs.
Bring us another no-lifer here to count if they really are 1,500!!
Exactly, it was clearly not a continuous recording. There were cuts and therefore the actual amount of HDDs is highly questionable.
However, it was kind of cool I must admit. The ending not tho.
@yoshinatsu: You better not be suggesting what I think you are! D:
Wow that was just amazing! and a nice house :p
I like the part where it fails. Then he knocks them over again.
Interesting, yet very sad.
I believe that guy cheated, it seemd that it stopped at one point and he gave a little kick to get it going again. And they gave them fish some new toys to play with as well how nice.
@Jcnet: Exactly.
That asshole is a parasite. He made a living off the hard work of other people.
He's no worse that people who sell pirated software.
@ballaboy311: You mean about 20 seconds in? I didn't watch much beyond that...
I noticed the kick start at around that point.
I can't believe I wasted two minutes of my life watching this shit.
Somewhere in Africa there is a Xboxless kid crying right now...
That was simply breathtaking.
I'm betting that its 1500 drives a couple of time; when it does the angle cuts, it looks like it could be a new set...
@Jcnet: Hey.
I had an Xbox I modded. I did it for purely "getting the damn thing to work" reasons.
Sadly, the mod failed, and the Xbox was even more useless, in that the circuitry melted, and then the Xbox got set on fire and smashed by a sledgehammer.
@balls187: Heh. I thought he was a girl.
Xbox Hard drives? Where did you get that from? Plus it wasn't 1500 they reset up every time the camera cuts. Notice how fast i got dark in the final cut.
Holy Hell.
waht is all your problems! This is awesome...he can mod if he wants so stfuagtfo
@Thanatos-: Edit sorry the 3 versions i saw before this said nothing of the xbox part.
@Thanatos-: As it says, from modding them - I think he modded bigger ones in the Xbox to use it more efficiently as a media center (which was quite popular).
@balls187: Yes, poor Microsoft.
@Jcnet:
how about you not speak for "ALL of America", and just for yourself? Thanks, buddy.
Wow, that was pretty awesome... Except for the sickening thatathatathatathatatha noise- it's like 40 fish jumping up and down on a boat, jumping around, gasping for air.
The ball part was especially fsckingawesometastic!!
Yeah, I'm going to have to call shenanigans.
Two camera men with multiple cuts, and it looked like he kicked it in one spot. I've seen much better domino-ing-ing.
Points for originality though.
How the fuck do you afford that many hard drives in addition to the rests of life's expenses?
@Jcnet: 99.99999999% aren't used for illegal purposes. I modded my xbox strictly for XBMC (xbox media center), and I'm sure I'm not alone. That project was extremely popular.
nice
Hmm... What can you do with 1,500 HDD's?!?!
You could have given me one. I would have been much more impressed by a thankless gift than a pointless video.
Then again, we all know the internets would implode were it not for lame-asses who find their lives interesting. But the internet won't do me much good once my HDD is full.
I'd like to see this feat replicated with 1,500 Xboxes instead of just their hard drives. Anyway, that is some house. The upstairs is ok, but that oxblood floor was sweet. Probably not his house, though.
Don't let PETA see that ending, they will skin you alive if they see that.
I count 1446 Hard Drives...
@badasscat: Yeah that is what I meant. I stopped watching shortly after.
@Youreflectionbg: Want some cheese with your whine?
I only counted 1478.
You could make one heck of a RAID.
think of the fish......
gluttony lol
Modding Xboxes must be a lucrative endeavor, b/c damn that house was huge.
@Jcnet:
First off, there hasn't even been enough Xbox MADE for you to arrive at an unbelievable figure of "99.999999%."
And why does you have to limit your "assumption of hate" to the US only? I live in the US and I do not want this person's house to burn down. So you don't think the rest of the world's population should hate this person for condoing piracy? They're all pirating barbarians, aren't they? Us Americans are always right, eh?
As has been said, many, many people mod their Xboxes for media center purposes, XMBC is an amazing piece of software.
@ Candlejack: "Exactly, it was clearly not a continuous recording. There were cuts and therefore the actual amount of HDDs is highly questionable."
And that... matters?
@greeble:
Indeed, I also modded my Xbox for XBMC. it's better than anything that the 360 or the ps3 can do... so far. Also makes for a great nes/snes emulator box.
I was expecting a flag to pop up at the end.
*sings* PITA GORA SUICCHI!
So did xbox drowned or fall down in history. all these xbox hard drives must be in repair now.
My box was chipped 4 years ago. I still use it for XBMC and have a file server setup so it is a perfect access point. Plus after years of LANs discs get scratched and stop working (doesn't happen when it's on your box).
Do HDDs float? If not they'd have to do some diving to recover those last couple (unless they like putting non-degradable things in lakes).
@Jcnet:
Hey. You. Yeah, you.
Why don't you..
Oh. DigiMish said it better. I would also like to add the notion that you are heinously misinformed and you would do good to research before making such blatantly ridiculous claims on a gamer blog.
@Candlejack: I'm not talking about microsoft or the large publishers. I'm talking about the developers who had their games pirated.
You want to mod your sexbox for w/e reason. Okay.
You want to pirate games. Okay.
You want to earn money by modding sexboxes for other people: you're an asshole.
You want to earn money by selling pirated software: You're a fucking asshole.
@Jcnet: When did you become all of America?
Nice house.
@Jcnet: Speaking for myself, I'll go ahead and say your statement does not express the feelings of "ALL of America". I understand your point about the modding being for illegal purposes, but that isn't the only purpose for modding an original Xbox and wishing bad things to happen to someone for the rest of their life or hoping they die in fire are way overboard. Besides for the cost of modding an original Xbox, you could probably just buy every game worth owning for it. There were some great games, just not many.
The original Xbox was highly desired to be modded. I think the chips go for approximately 40-60 dollars, and the mod job alone will often push the price to 80.
He's accumulated all the old 8gb HDDs that no one wanted because the mod allows you to swap your HDD up to a maximum size of 250gb.
@ 1500 mods... he probably pocketed a cool 30k-60k depending on what he was charging
@Jcnet: Would you kindly DIAF?
@i.roboto: And that makes him an asshole :)
I counted 1499. Liars.
koool!!!
I can only knock down one at a time.
Ahh, to be rich...
