Ah, game cakes. So 2007. 2006, even. I thought they were behind us. But sometimes, like an ex-girlfriend with a great pair or a party drug at an affordable price, you have to go back. How could we resist a Katamari cake with such exquisite detail? We couldn't. I mean, it's rolled up a keyboard and an octopus.

Looks too good to eat, but I still would.
I mean, it's rolled up a keyboard and an octopus.
Also a rare gray species of the Kotaku Pointing Fish!
Just plain awesome. I shake my fist at all the lucky people that get to eat this.
Great, now people just pile crap up and say it's Katamari Fan-Art... (JK!! keep the hammer away >_<)
Hey, that kinda rocks amongst the latest fabric/cloth fetishes.
Looks like something I made when trying to make a cake.
The top half anyway.
LOL, awesome! Until you realize you're chewing on something non-edible
That fridge better watch out, because it's getting rolled up next.
I'm kinda sick of Game cakes. How many more cakes will I be forced to endure before Kotaku is so full it explodes it's cakey guts everywhere?
@Gentleben-Nintendo Club Star Whore: You saw Cloverfield too?
@Sabre_Justice:
No it's not here in the UK yet, but that comment leads me to believe it's full of cakes and exploding Kotaku guys. Thanks for the Spoiler! >:
@Gentleben-Nintendo Club Star Whore: If it was, it'd be all over the internet by now.
What's with us Aussies getting movies early? First Transformers, now Cloverfield. Not that I'm complaining, but weird... and I'd happily trade it for getting Nintendo games earlier at decent prices.
Cloverfield here this week though, just 1 week later isn't that bad.
cake looks awesome though, is it marzipan?
I LOVE that. But I think I might try to top that by making an Animal Crossing cake? Maybe?
@Porcelina: Go for it!
Besides the Kotaku pointing fish and the octopus, I see a fish, cow, chicken, rose, calla lily, crayons, a bunch of grapes, a daisy, a treble clef, what might be sushi, the keyboard and assorted body parts. What a lot of work! Porcelina's got his/her work cut out for him/her.
Dear Luke,
More game cake posts please :)
A part of me wants to agree with Gentleben; game cakes are beginning to seem old-hat. However, there's a certain charm to all things Katamari. I can't help but approve.
Yummy!!!!!!!
It's my birthday! I wish I got a cake like this. My mom won't even get me an icecream cake :(
One of the more impressive cakes I've seen in awhile.
@JAKEDUNN: More likely that it's fondant, which is edible, frequently used to make fancy cakes, but not as delicious as marzipan (imo).
The awesome cake of Katamari
All rolled up for us to see
And although a cake, it may be
The cake is just a lie, you see
About the only thing that could have been cooler is if they somehow made it look like the actual cake itself had been rolled up in the Katamari.
Nice artwork but it looks disgusting.
