I believe that actually *is* Pokemon trainer. It is a Pokemon sticker highlighted after all. But Lucas' sticker is the one that has people believing that Ness was leaked too.

At any rate, if this is true, then it makes up for today's abysmal and wasted update. Many of us already knew about Sheik/Zelda's Final Smash from the Famitsu Booklet and Corocoro Card.

Lucario is a good choice, but to me it seems there is too much Pokemon now...especially with the inclusion of Pokemon Trainer. If they also add Jigglypuff AND Mewtwo then damn.

Otherwise, doubt that one is Ness, it does looks like Pokemon Trainer, hair sticking out the sides and all.

Interesting, very interesting. And if I'm not mistaken, in that part of the clip were they show the stickers, when they show the cursor on the sticker of the boy, you can see two characters it can be applied on that use PSI power (Ness and Lucas). Therefore, Ness is in Brawl!

I'm sure he will be. I don't really think any characters are being cut. I'm pretty sure this game's final roster will look something like MvC2.

The supposed Ness picture up there actually looks more like Pokemon Trainer...

@Saint Anima (PSN = PoeticMassacre): I'd have to agree. I stopped playing pokemon after the 2nd generation (Gold/Silver/Crystal) so any pokemon after that don't excite me much. I have dabbled with the current generation by battling online with a friend's roster, but the game has changed so much since I played.

Lucario fits I have to admit. His popularity is one thing, but I can scarcely remember that one Pokemon movie he was in. It's reasonable to think that they can scrounge a moveset from there.

Jiggs should return in my opinion. Aside from Pikachu, she made constant appearances in the early seasons in the anime hence making her one of the unofficial mascots. Smash 64 and Melee somewhat have vaulted her into mainstream popularity status as well although nowhere near Pikachu.

As for Mewtwo, I can live with him being cut. Seems like his popularity stemed from the fact that he was unquestionably the most broken pokemon in the old games and that's it. He barely made any appearances aside from one or two anime episodes and his 2 movies. And same treatment goes for Pichu who I believe doesn't warrant his own paragraph. What a waste

To recap, assuming that is Jiggs and Lucario we have those two along with Pikachu, Charizard, Ivysaur, and Squirtle as the Pokemon reps. I'm all for more characters, but 6 representatives is a bit pushing it I think.

B: Aura Sphere (a charger like M2 or Samus)
B->: Extreme Speed (fox phantasm dash?)
B^: Sky uppercut (vertical recovery with style)
B\/: Stone Edge (Falling rocks for those pesky flying types)

with, uh.. Life orb, Naughty Nature (+Att -Sp.Def) 252 speed 100 Sp. Att 152 Att

This is already shaping up to be an epic game, but if Jigglypuff's final smash ends up being a Sing+Black Marker attack I'll probably use her non-stop just because of that.

Sounds kind of stupid to me if they don't put those in the game. They have 3 times the storage they had on gamecube, why would they go for a regression in terms of characters? Nonsense. They will be there

I think that's just Pokemon Trainer and the fact that using stickers in adventure mode will allow him to change which pokemon he uses in there. So instead of just using Charrizard, Squirtle, and that leaf pokemon, he could probably use those other pokemon as well.

Nintendo should just make a full-blown Pokemon game for the Wii. Then not only will it print money, but it will start crapping out gold bricks.

Jigglypuff and Ness seem pretty much like no-brainers to me. I mean, the way this is going, can't we safely assume that most, if not all, of the cast from the GC game will make their return?

I liked Mewtwo's inclusion simply because he was the most powerful, most feared Pokemon of his day, was weak against very few Pokemon (Haunter/Gengar) and nearly impossible to catch. The inclusion of Dark types and more Ghosts severely weakened him, though.

Lucario would be cool, though I would miss Mewtwo.

Jigglypuff, however, better be back or I'm boycotting the game. Rollout is my move. I will destroy you.

It could be that that shot could be from a save of the game where not all the characters are unlocked yet, thus Mewtwo's absence.

Then again, Pichu is 99% likely to be gone (He evolved into Pikachu, you can see his goggles on Pikachu's alternate costumes) so I don't know.

In any case, can't say I'm all that surprised honestly. I hate to say I called it, but I figured Lucario was going to be one of the new playable pokemon. However, this could possibly confirm the end of Mewtwo, as well. RIP, old friend.

The one you are referring to is indeed Pokémon Trainer. However, Ness'icon appears when the cursor is on the Claus sticker, not the Groudon sticker.

Weird how people see things wrong. The posts image is definately Pokemon Trainer. Stickers only power up characters related to them, so there's no way that'd be Ness. Rather, it shows that Pikachu, P.Trainer, Lucario and Jigglypuff are the only Pokemon characters in the game.

That image with the Earthbound character, too, definitely shows a connection to Ness and Lucas, so there's no worrying either way.

Fair enough, didn't see Ness there, but its not Lucas. Its Klaus. It even says the name "Klaus" in katakana.

Klaus has brown hair, Lucas, his twin, has very light platinum blonde hair. Its Klaus in the main frame as well.

The katakana is referring to the character that the sticker represents (note that the pic at top says グラードン, which is Groudon). The character images in the bottom right most likely represent the PLAYABLE characters who have added bonuses from that sticker.
