I think it's pretty well-done. It does look kinda crude, because it's supposed to. The writing on the walls in portal wasn't in times new roman, if I recall.

I think it looks like one of the most remarkably ugly things I have ever seen.

No balance in composition, amaturish to all extents. Perhaps if they made it look like they ripped away part of the wall, by having, for example, the top right corner look like an extrmely polish wall part, and made it look as if this was all written on the underside of the wall, it would have worked.

As it stands now, fail IMO.

So I just finished Portal (ok, I'm stuck in that giant room with the sludgy trenches and turrets, and I was all stoked about the Companion cube stuff. You know what?

Super ugly, and very amateur. It doesn't look like scribblings of test subjects driven mad, it looks like a bad artist trying to imitate the scribblings of a test subject gone mad. There's a big difference between the two.

Also, the people who are questioning the companion cube's massive hype are in the right. It was sort of funny and clever in the game, but it's severely played out, almost to All Your Base levels. Please stop.

the problem with the portal jokes, is that they were only funny in game. someone yelling or making a comic about "The Cake is a Lie!" isnt funny. it was a inside joke that shouldve stayed in portal.

It's pretty average I think. I'm not an artistic person by nature but I know I could replicate this. And if I can make it then I wouldn't pay for it.

I like it. It's meant to have that childish look to it. Too bad it's way out of my price tag and for an xbox - which I don't have!

custom faceplates (all though i love 'em) are the equivalent of customized license plates..."hey look at me i paid extra money so my license plate looks different (more creative) than yours.
