Now that the ugliness of Super Smash Bros. Brawl's official delay is behind us, we can move on to the good stuff. Sure, we may be waiting another month for our Kirby versus Snake battles, but that only means more Smash Bros. Dojo updates and an extended lifeline for the Dojo Dump. Yay! This week, the Dojo focused on the newly revealed Olimar and Pikmin brawler, while eking out the minimal amount of updates.
For more info on all things Pikmin, stickers and Sheik, make the jump for the Dojo Dump.
Monday: Challenges bring the hammer down, making items unattainable through normal means within your reach.
Tuesday: The Pikmin-themed battle arena is known as Distant Planet. It's all "om nom nom nom."
Wednesday: Zelda's second form, Sheik, returns as a playable fighter. Makes me feel weird.
Thursday: Pikmin & Olimar's Final Smash is a blast. Ungh.
Friday: Looks like stickers won't just satisfy the collector obsession within, they'll make fighting the Subspace Emissary a bit easier. Or so says the entry on Sticker Power-Ups.

Comments
Nothing too surprising this week. Even the character announcement was pretty much expected. However, the stickers add an RPG aspect to Subspace Emissary that could make it interesting, especially since they are one use only
I dont think there's really any cause for complaining this week. Lots of good stuff here.
Who cares about stickers.... when are they gonna announce Masterchief as a playable character? (of course this is a joke)
I think that the sticker-stuff looks like a lot of fun. Not for me - I don't need no powerups to beat no subspace emmisary - I'm hardcore - but I imagine lots of people will have fun!
@Krytha:
Besides the delay right?
I thought the Pikmin stage looked pretty hot, what with the water effects during the rain and the depth-of-field for the background.
f(humble request) = Game and Watch + No more delays + (x)
x = please
@chemical_eng_mx: Er... well it wasn't really mentioned so it slipped my mind. I guess you just get used to the abuse after a while and grow numb to the beatings.
Pimin stage looks weird. Unlike the other stages, I can't seem to differentiate between the actual stage platform and the background. Well . . . that's using screenshots anyway. Hopefully it'll be obvious in the game. And if anything, that should give me an idea as to how this game will look in real life. I can't wait.
@Krytha: Yeah, that's how I was about Sonic games for a while. Sega basically gave me battered gamer syndrome. I hated the games, but couldn't leave them alone.
Holy shit my relationship with a lot of games is like that. Like I'll get punished playing WoW, but punished even harder not playing it...
Sheik ftw! =] Still waiting for one more third-party character though... ~coughmegamancough~
@seanj652: Cough intercepted. I want Megaman too!
Everyone I know who wants this game wants voice chat. Make it happen guys, it's taken you long enough...
Online gaming will be pretty lame without voice chatting
@blacksamurai87: That cough must be contagious! Megaman!
There's something strange about one of the pictures in the sticker update.

See how there seems to be a U next to the part where it says Magic Attack +13? Could the full thing be 'Unknown', as in the sticker is exclusive to an unrevealed character from the Animal Crossing series?
It's a pity that the PIkmin stage, based on one commercial for Brawl I saw, will have a stationary background. Pity with that nice depth they've got going on.
Still, this was a pretty good week, and I look forward to more.
@ssjmichael: What game are we talking about?
@ssjmichael:
Well if a lot of people want it I hope it's there
Personally I don't care, won't use it if it makes it
Don't want to have to listen to 13 year olds calling me "fag" or cussin' at me just 'cause I beat them
I hate Olimar's smash attack. Not so much its nonsensicalness but rather how unstrategic it is. And why the Pikmin requirement to activate it? Argh, so lame.
@chemical_eng_mx:
I second that notion, that's what XBL is for =]
Ironically, I only found out about the DS's wifi voice chat by accidentally while trading pokemon with a friend.
The sticker thing was somewhat of a surprise, and in a good way. Liking the direction they're taking for the game, and almost every week we get some sort of a announcement that surprises us. Now, Nintendo should make some ads for the game in every way possible *.*
@Green-clad Gamer Dude: There is no Pikmin requirement to activate it, you simply have to attack it. Although Olimar needs at least 1 Pikmin to attack.
@Green-clad Gamer Dude: It's called a Final Smash. NOT a Smash Attack.
The sticker update makes the collect-a-thon in me very happy, now there is more of a reason to get millions of stickers to maximize your characters :D
@Vyse24: its actually missingno. hes going to be revealed as a character any day now
@Irenicus-the one and only:
The game we're currently discussing now? Super smash bros is a great multiplayer experience, but fans of the series feel that playing online, particularly without voice chat support wouldn't be all that entertaining. A voice chat option should be standard on all Multiplayer games, but this is Nintendo we're talking about here....
Of course, the ability to mute annoying kids would have to be an option to, but this request is mainly to talk between friends while playing.
At this rate (and length of time, grr) they won't even have to ship the game with an instruction manual.
@thereturnoftheufo: Lol, whatever. It's still lame.
@Green-clad Gamer Dude: Dude, he fucking Strangeloves back into the stage on his rocket! That is not 'lame'.
@ssjmichael: Yeah, I thought you meant SSBB, but had to be sure :D ty
Well, as it is friendcodes they use there wouldn't be any annoying kids, unless you like em lol But I agree, I thought it did come with voice chat myself, how can they release a game with an online component lacking something vital as voice chat support, thats crazy :(
I guess I wont bother getting it when I do pick up a Wii, I just don't play with people in person as much as I use to when I was younger, unless it is LAN or at an internet cafe. Shame Nintendo, shame!
Is it me or the Olimar Character and the Pikmin Stage just reminds us that Pikmin is simple one of the most creative games released by Nintendo?
I just don't know why they haven't made any annouce of a sequel of the frachise for the Wii, the DS or whatever.
Come on Miyamoto. Just make another Pikmin, make it online, make it bigger, make it customizable.
And make it quick.
Ok.. about 3rd party.. Anyone else see guitar hero 20 seconds in ?
[wii.com]
If not what is that??
@Irenicus-the one and only:
lol, well don't let it stop you from getting the game! I hear the single player campaign is pretty great too. Voice chat or not, this is the only game that has really tempted me to lay down some money for a Wii.
@xpnet:
Brinstar Depths?
@ssjmichael: This SMG and mario kart for me :D
So, how will the campaign be though? I heard nothing about it, can it actually be fun? Most fighting game campaigns I played in the past was pretty bad. But yeah, online is the big appeal for me, I just don't got the social life situation yada going for me now that I can or do play games at home with friends, online is my only option except for going on LAN, which wont be happening over a Nintendo game any time soon, LAN events that is :P
Maybe some vent/TS/steam voice chat with people having the game can be worked out, but I shouldn't have to :(
If they do include Voice Chat, I'm not gonna use it. I find it to be a distraction more so than a must have luxury.
@xpnet: Thats a female rocker from Japan-only game The Band.
@bnorman:

@Vyse24: Thanks..
@xpnet:
it's probably an assist trophy of some kind seeing as how it's stationary omni-directional attack is reminiscent of many pokemon
Pretty good stuff this week. It's better than being given a level or unlockable we were all fully aware of already.
All of the updates were good.
I'm beating the game on intense with no stickers. hell, I'm beating everything without stickers. All you need is skill, stickers are dishonorable!
@ssjmichael: There's not gonna be any voice chat, thinking so is only going to set yourself up for a fall. Not buying it because it doesn't have voice chat is only going to set yourself up for a fall as well.
Only one thing I want from Smash Brothers (not likely to happen) and that's having Rabbids as a playable character
This week was pretty darn good.
The only things left that I'd really like to see are the following:
1. Capt. Falcon & Ganondorf playable characters (Ganondorf has his own unique moves)
2. Wind Waker Link playable character
He's small, cell-shaded, and has some unique weapons like the deku leaf and giant hammer. His final smash could be the same charged up master sword spin attack used in Wind Waker.
3. Ridley as a boss
Because he's too damn cool and one of Nintendo's best villain characters.
4. Mother Brain assist trophy.
I'd prefer for it to be a boss, but I still think it would be pretty damn cool to throw down an assist trophy and have this giant thing walking around the stage blasting players with its laser eyes.
5. Midna (solo) playable character
I figure she could pretty much be like SSBM's Mewtwo. She can teleport, use shadow magic and her third arm and her final smash could be something like her twilight monster transformation.
An assist trophy would also be acceptable.
6. Metal Sonic costume change for Sonic
I know it's not going to happen. Still, it would be cool.
7. Dark Samus costume change for Samus Aran
Same reason as # 6.
8. Doctor Robotnik assist trophy
(Don't call him Eggman)
I'd love to see him appear in one of his flying machines and unleash a pack of mechanized animals on the players.
I've seen something like that Challenges grid in another Nintendo game: Kirby's Air Ride! There were two major differences though: in that game the grid was closer to a square and you could see the objectives on all 4 sides of ones you had achieved, and not all the objectives actually gave you some type of reward.
Also, they did something kind of like that in Mario Party DS, but it showed it as a few lists rather than a grid, and the rewards were just figurine things, not anything you could do anything with.
@Torgen thinks AAA has lost all meaning: That "rain" is actually a sprinkler. SPOILERS!?: Distant Planet is Miyamoto's backyard.
@Quine: I would like to see the game so hard you can't beat it without stickers... and you'd have to sacrafic your stickers to play through an area that might require more defense then offense or a higher jump. Adding a puzzle / RPG feature.. Can't wait for this game!
I just want my Jigglypuff back.
At this point, as long as Jigglypuff's back, this game is going to be awesome, despite the delay.
