The sharp eyes over at IGN have spotted what may be a juicy bit of news over on the Devil May Cry 4 fansite. If you click on the option to download a DMC4 widget, the site loads up an example picture which shows that the demo for the game will be hitting the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on January 31.
Of course, as IGN also points out, this could just be bad placeholder text for the widget example. But with the game hitting just a week into February it doesn't seem like too far a stretch for that demo date to be right.

not really excited about this title...
January 31st? That's like 8 days away from release to me (UK). Sure, I appreciate every demo, but I'm not on fire because of this, even if it's true.
Be better if it was today or even next week but 2 more weeks isn't a stretch for a quality game like this
Hopefully it is better than DMC3 which was pretty good.
PC demo please? I know it's coming out for the PC, so where's our demo?

It would sure be a nice little extra, I mean I am buying the game no matter what but a demo to make the wait easier is always nice.

Its better then not having a demo. I welcome this demo and hope it's bad that i don't have to buy it. I don't have money at the moment. :/. EIther way hope this game is good.
I didn't even know I was excited for this game until reading that a demo's been released. Weird. I loved the first one, hated the second, thought the third was okay. Hopefully this one lives up to the first.

@ivan225: I can take that off your shoulders; get the DMC4 Collectors Edition because it'll be a milestone for both gameplay & story, while AC can only boast great technology.
Try getting AC for cheap, around 30-40 bucks.

I thought we knew about the demo coming this month, like last year? In any case, good to know a demo is coming, only a good demo could get me to buy this.

With the demo this close to release I'd rather just wait till the game comes out and hope that it's awesomeness
31st January?! I'd be playing the full game by then.....
A demo is nice but what i dont get i why they dont just put up on PSN what people have been playing at all those trade shows, like the next day or somet granted it could be buggy but you never hear of any probs out there. Either way im definatly gona get DMC4 just so i can get my dante fix.. oooohh hes like a drug.
Ill be too busy with LOST on the 31st...
@ivan225: For that price, it's worth considering. Tough choice truly, but I'd still go with DMC4 simply because it's newer & fresh, if you know what I mean ;)
