When I was a kid, Lego itself was as versatile as it is today. But Lego dudes? Nope. They had stock hair, stock bodies, and unless you opted for the medieval or sci-fi sets, you were pretty limited with what you could come up with. 2008 laughs in the face of those limitations. This is the entire Team Fortress 2 lineup, complete with instantly-recognisable weapons and uniforms, and my inner-eight-year-old's heart is aflutter.

That's amazing. I can see Lego engies re-purposing fallen soldiers as sentries though. Hell, plastic is plastic.

So, when can we see Valve do a 'Lego Team Fortress 2', that would be rather hillarious. I seem to remember playing HL1 deathmatch with a legoman skin and that was rather disconcerting.

Almost perfect, but Lego heads are fairly easy to modify so the lack of the Spys balaclava and the demo mans eyepatch is a disappointment.

I'm so old that when I was, say, Mini-Bash's age, there weren't even Lego minifigs yet!
So I love all the little guys and the variations that people make and the wacky stuff they do.
Like "The Brick Testament" (the Bible in Lego).
And I cannot WAIT for all the Indiana Jones Lego sets. I'm gonna ask for those for every birthday, Christmas, whatever till I have them all.
