It's a bizarre mix of games this week and seeing as I am busy unpacking a myriad of boxes, much of this week will be devoted to that rather than gaming. Although I'm sure I'll be able to sneak some in here and there. Are any of this week's releases going to make on your shopping list?
FlatOut: Head On (PC, PSP)
Crash cars and blow stuff up.
Samurai Warriors: Katana (WII)
Swing your katana in this Samurai Warriors spin off.
Rail Simulator (PC)
You can make trains too, just like the big boys.
Furu Furu Park (WII)
More mini games for the Wii.
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: Hard Evidence (WII)
The TV show comes to your Wii in game form.
Nanostray 2 (DS)
Part two of the trippy shooter
Nitrobike (WII)
Rocket bikes! Need I say more?
Miami Nights: Singles in the City (DS)
Virtually explore the hot, hot hot Miami singles scene.
Corvette Evolution GT (DS)
Race car driving on your DS.

Are you kidding me?
"Are any of this week's releases going to make on your shopping list?"
Uh. *scratches head*. Well, thanks, but um... no thanks.
Nothing this week. Of course, at this point, every day is just another day until Brawl.
I'm going to be that one person who complains about everything right now. None of those game interest me and why do i post here if they don't? I think the end of the month is when the bigger games come out. Hurry please i am dying of hunger of a new game.
whole lotta nothin' for me. hey, is that samurai one for wii going well? that could be fun.
I have been waiting for the release of Miami Nights: Singles in the City for what seems like years now.
I'm the only person on Earth who has been and is interested in Furu Furu Park. There is a 60% chance that I'll end up buying it.
In the event of that 60% chance occurring, there is a 100% chance that I'll get home, take it out of the bag, look at it, smack myself on the head and say aloud, "God, not another game! When am I gonna find time to play all this crap?!" and put it on the pile of games I still have to play through.
I'm actually pretty excited for Nanostray 2. I loved the first game and this one looks pretty good too.
Is the katana one any good? Seriously, at least they're trying.
Damn, Miami Nights came out of nowhere! That's sure to be a sleeper hit.
Bah.
Are you serious?
All those games suck.
(With the possible exception of Nanostray. I know nothing about that game. It might be good.)
I would love to know if Samurai Warriors is going to be at all enjoyable on the Wii, or if it's a waggle-fest that is equally, if not more pathetic than Soulcalibur Legends.
I'm banking on the latter scenario.
@Sabre_Justice: jinx.
Miami nights? eh?
NANOSTRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY
BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINS
I am from Miami, and all I have to say is 'Miami Nights: Singles in the City' what the fuck!?! I mean seriously people, WHAT THE FUCK!?!

I say meh. Too many other games I need to save money up for that are coming out in the future. Therefore, these next coming weeks are a blessing in disguise...for my bank account anyways.
to anyone asking about the samurai warriors game, check ign, they have some articles on it, it's suposed to be first person i guess, so its something different than we've really seen before and yea, at least they're trying
Week in Games: The, We Already Blew Our Load During The Holidays Edition.
No... January is extremely dry this month. Worse than usual. All we're getting this month is Burnout Paradise (next week), and No More Heroes (week after that), there's also Bomberman Land same week as No More Heroes if you're into that. But February, it's freakin' amazing. There's about as much interesting stuff coming out in February as there was coming out in October 2007. Not as much as November though, nothing's ever gonna beat that month.
yuck, that list is mediocre at best. Good thing too, since I have no cash.
I'm glad that I have plenty of games that I haven't gotten through and don't have much time to play games right now. This list makes me not regret not having enough money right now for games.
@WPack911: Me too. Playing a game based on the cliches of my hometown sure sounds like it could keep entertained for-zzzzzz....
@17-A: You do have to aim your sword at them, at least.
Rail Simulator... tempting.
Yeah miami simulator now i dont have to drive there to hit on real chicks ill scam on the virtual ones.
FUCK YES NANOSTRAY!
I mean,...is that it? this week sucks.
(yes! nanostray2!)
Nintendo Third-Party Shovelware week, woohoo.
Nope, my first game purchase of the year will be Advance Wars next week. However, there are like 5 games from next week to the end of February that I'll probably end up buying, which is much more than usual for this time of year. I'm sure it'll be completely dry by the time summer rolls around, just like usual.
@17-A: Its a giant waggle fest pretty much. Its fun for the first few hours though!
moar suck..
I've got Nanostray 2 payed off, and realized about a week ago GameStop changed the listing to February 12.
@Toasticus:
I was about to say that.
Oh well, I'll say it anyway. More shovelware, wiiiiii!!
Well, Flynn, it weems that you picked a perfect week to move into your new apartment!
And on that subject: CONGRATS! On moving into your new apartment!
Mmm rubbish...
@17-A: I'm pretty sure Miami Nights is going to be the REAL waggle fest out of these titles.
@phinehas: wait, is the game in spanish? cause if not, let me assure you, its not really miami.
@TheIrishNinja (PSN), IrishNinja2099 (XBL): Indeed IrishNinja, Indeed.
@Samos42: No More Heroes - Jan. 22
Can't wait.
Weeks like this almost feel like the gods are trying to tell us to take our asses outside. Maybe if we go outside for a couple of hours Metal Gear, Smash Bros, and some highly anticipated game for the 360 will come out next week. We can do it, guys. Let's go outside and take the world by storm. Well, maybe that isn't such a good idea. People might be blinded by our bright pale skin. It would be a true whiteout.
nitrobike the samurai game and nanostray seems ok games...
I'm only counting on three games to be good until around May: Smash Bros, GTA4 and The Force Unleashed. I'm sure there's quite a few other decent games, but I doubt any of them being anything that recreates a genre.
Indeed Bizarre Mix...xD
Nope, none of these games interest me. Nothing...zero...nada....ugh.. And yes, I am also waiting for Smash, but havent reserved it yet (I think I'll have trouble looking for it, but whatever xD). Before Smash, there's NoMoreHeroes to keep me busy n.n
Re: Katana and Koei/Omega Factor trying something new - yeah, we'll see about that one. On the plus side, Bladestorm is a hell of a lot of fun, and I'd like to see its innovations brought to the DW/SW table.
Unlike many mini-game collections, Furu Furu Park actually looks kinda cool. Not sure if I'm gonna play it, though.
Nanstray 2? Damn, I didn't know that was coming out so soon! Awesome!
@AnonymousNoob: Really? How'd I screw that up...
a week in crap games
Oh no...
I think Furu Furu Park looks good. Someone shoot me now.
I just finished watching the video on the Nanostray 2 website.
That's a purchase for sure. The arcade games you can unlock look more fun than some full length DS realeases. Plus the main game and challenge modes look pretty intense.
Next week, Advance Wars...my DS is going to get some lovin' for a couple of months for sure.
@WPack911: haha...you from around here as well?
Ouch!
Casual junkie filler week!
Furu Furu Park looks like it's a bunch of games that you can play for free bundled together but with what is bound to be really crappy motion controls. I think I'll pass (which sounds hypocritical seeing as I'm waiting for the N+ game to come out).
I SEE BUB. PUZZLE BOBBLE?
Getting an 8 out of 10 from Play Magazine is nothing to be proud of. If it's Japanese Play loves the shit out of it.
Nothing to see here folks, just keep moving...
