Despite featuring in much of the service's pre-launch media, Burnout 3 isn't currently available as part of Microsoft's Xbox Originals range. Will be soon, though. They've announced it'll be launching on January 14, and will be available everywhere except Japan for the not-insubstantial sum of 1200 Microsoft Points. Which would be great news, if...well, if we weren't so busy waiting for Burnout 2 and it's superior crash mode.

Pass. Xbox Originals fail.
Why pass on Burnout 3? Xbox originals succeed.
That's the best Burnout in the series. If only you couldn't find this for like $7-8 aanywhere it might be worth picking up.
Or I could buy a used xbox 360 racing game for the same price, or I could just not buy a racing game at all and save up for smash. Both seem like better options
Xbox Originals are overpriced for the most part. Then again.....so are the XBLA games for the most part.
Oh well.......I can always go to small mom & pop shops to get the ones I want for much cheaper.
It certainly is different compared to the new burnout. I lik this burnout since it had more crash like action in it.
One of my favorite Xbox games is this. If you never played Burnout, it wouldn't hurt to start on this game. Just whatever you do, act like the newest game thats soon to be released doesn't exist. =)
stupid...
Easily one of the best Burnout games ever made.
I'm glad to see this being put up. I have the PS2 version, but if I didn't I'd be picking this one up asap.
another detail on xbox live and still not detail on the problem my freakin subscription is expiring-_-
Here's a better idea, Bring back burn out 4 multi player EA and update it.
I truly fail to see why I need to downrage to an older game and pay for it again, just for the joy of burnout multiplayer.
will it be live enabled? I thought EA had taken the servers down for it but perhaps I'm mistaken
I don't like racing games.
And yet I love this game.
It's just so awesome!
What's the difference between Burnout 2 and 3 besides the number?
why is this one considered the best one again? i played all console burnouts and this felt kinda rushed at the end. some features felt rushed, e.g. aftertouch and its camera, and were, thank god, fixed in revenge.
i have burnout 3 for ps2 and i can tell you that egm said the graphics were actually better on ps2 than xbox. notice the blurry sparks on(xbox) than ps2 version.
sweet lord. i've been waiting a month for this!
I don't like racing games that much, And I loved this.
I would still rather put my money towards the new one that everyone here hates, I had a joy doing the online challenges and chasing after people. I also loved the stunt runs with me getting 200k points for doing some things that made me really satisfied with myself, and this is just the demo.
Gamer.tv have got the game and have spent 2 weeks playing it and they ain't done it all so can't even review it.
this is a stupid idea, there are already 2 "Burnouts" for 360 with achievements. There is no reason for this, Give us Marvel Vs Capcom 2 for 800-1600 MS points and you will crash the Ebay market..lol Give us games worth playing for more than 1 day please, Thanks.
I have trouble finding any used games that I actually want in my area, and ebay sucks for games in Canada... so Xbox Originals is great for me. However, if I only had the room on my damn minuscule hard-drive, grrrr. 120gig drives, are also hard to get in Canada and pricey to boot.
@ Luke
Holy fuck. I always thought I was the only one who thought that the crash mode on B2 was the best in the series. Thanks for confirming my long-held belief.
im getting tired of reading the comments section that has anything to do with microsoft....everyone bitches and moans
@SpuddOner: did u miss/finish all the games they gave up over the last 5 months?
Burnout 3 takedown had the best crash mode.
Burnout 4 revenge had the best racing.
I never played Burnout 2, so I don't know which has the best crash mode, but I did love playing B3 so I'll definitely be buying this. It certainly makes up for the disappointment that Burnout Paradise was.
@KenHikari255: Easily one of the best games ever made, period.
@PhotoBoy: Was? It's not even out yet.
Any size estimates? I thought about Psychonauts out of laziness, it's so great to have dl'ed stuff sitting on there, but didn't want $15 taking up a quarter of my HD. And then I thought, I should play these new games anyway.
Will buy (again).
A guess as to why this didn't make it last time....EA, and there asshole approach to older games online support. EA closed the Burnout 3 servers 2 weeks before the launch of xbox original, and xbox was selling the game based on online(on xbox.com).
Magically after a few hardcore b3 players I know complained, and if I'm right with M.S. pulling it from the originals launch.. EA decided to bring back the servers the day of original launch. To late now ya wait.
P.S. Burnout 3 is awesome even if you don't like racing games.
I agree with previous commenters saying this is the best Burnout. It's awesome :)
Where's KOTOR and KOTOR2????
only reason is because original didn't work on 360. that's what i've heard at least. try and see if it will. i don't know...
I'm surprised, I thought Burnout 3 was much better than Revenge. Frankly my only wish is that it had multiplayer and 360 centric features. I thought the crash events were a lot better in 3 and I even liked Stryker (I know, shocking!).
@durango: I meant the Paradise demo. There's no way I'm buying the full game.
Burnout 3 is one of my favorite racers of all time, and superior even to the good crop of driving games on 360. The crash mode is so fun, it's quite literally all I played of the game for a long time. Pretty lengthy mode, too -- especially if you're going for all golds.
I have the ps2 version and still purchased the xbox 360 version. Just worth it for MP ACTION Alone
