Wow, it's been a while back when I thought 8gbs for the memstick was alot, technology keeps on pushing it.

I thought the psp could only handle 8gbs? Of course i don't have one, but this is what i heard. Hey more memory for those people hacking and adding games instead of buying them! YAY!

This makes me happy, not because I have any plans to buy it, but because I can look forward to the lower-range cards dropping in price. Just got the Daxter pack with the 1GB, but I'd certainly like to snag a 4GB if they go down a bit.

This is good news. I'm sure all the other memory sticks will be going down in price now. Expect this memory stick to be incased with titanium.

Looks like a 4GB Duo is in my future.

I just bought an 8GB card for my PSP and I think it's more than enough. Though, I wouldn't mind sticking on of these into my PSP. Ah shit.. just remembered about the Skype compatibility to the PSP slim... maybe I'll purchase one of these for one of the slims when I decide to purchase one.

Currently using an 8GB Sandisk M2 Micro via adaptor, bought used for 80 bones off a guy who bought the wrong card and only realized after he opened the package. 4GB wasn't quite enough but 8 is, to quote my friend above: 'juuuuust right'.

Just bought a 4GB for $40. $300 is steep, I'll probably wait a year.

The point I was making though is that Sony thinks bigger memory sticks will encourage people to use the PSP as a media player more. However as I pointed out for the same price (or less) as JUST the memory stick you could get a much better portable media player. Yes you can't play Jeanne de Arc on an Archos but you can get an Archos and a PSP for about the same as a PSP and the memory stick. Sure it's extra junk to lug around but I'd prefer a little more weight in my backpack to a little less in my wallet.

I might be able to put my whole music collection on that... My video collection though an ipod wont be able to hold. :P 100g of anime, movies, and series, compared to 10g of music.

Why not spend $300 on an mp3/video player with 8x that space instead?
