When King of Kong director Seth Gordon isn't talking about how badass a Paper Mario movie would be, he's off...doing other things. We're not exactly sure how we missed this, but Seth Gordon is taking a turn for the holiday comedies in his upcoming film Four Christmases, starring the AAA cast of Vince Vaughn, Reese Witherspoon and Robert Duvall. The film is said to be in production now for a holiday 2008 release.
But don't be sad. In Hollywood this sort of thing isn't called "selling out" but "having a career." Feel good knowing that you can sit in the theater bragging to friends, "I remember when this guy was making documentaries and being written about on barely-literate sites like Kotaku!"

Good for him... as a person, anyway. More money.
Can't imagine anyone gives a damn about the movie itself, of course.
So ... is Vince Vaughn going for the unwatchable holiday turd movie record or something? If he somehow found his way into Christmas with the Cranks or Jingle All the Way, we'd have to buy him a trophy or something.
The guys gotta eat.
I heard about this...so far its been bad. Vince and Resse dont like each other on set which will equal to bad chemistry on the big screen ( they're supposed to be a couple going to each of their parents christmases, thing is, their parents are all divocred, hench the title.). I'll pray this movie does good cuz maybe that might give a chance that he can revive the halo movie or make an actual good videogame movie for once.
@jmontilla2786: You mean like the remake of King of Kong that he's planning on doing starring Vince Vaughn?
btw AAA cast? the only movies i liked vince in was Ron Jeremy and wedding crashers and he wasnt the main charcter. And the only movie i like reese in were....ummm....yeah....none
Well, it looks like it's up to me now to create a documentary about Kix. :(
@Double J:
Qix. Not Kix. As in the cereal that apparently my mom thinks is okay for me to have.
This is good to see. A guy getting recognized for his talent instead of paying another Michael Bay type to make hollywood films. I have much more faith in indie filmmakers like Gordon than half of hollywood out there.
... who's Robert Duvall?
@Double J: I don't know a Kix documentary called 'Kid tested mother aproved" would be awesome! LOL
Got to Love Christmas Vacation!
Last we heard they were working on the script for the King of Kong film, but I bet the writers strike put it on hold.
@MURDERFACE:
Yeah, in hindsight, I like my cereal documentary more than my forgotten arcade game concept.
Sounds like this guy just got his big break. Unless I'm an idiot and he's done other big films before this one...
