This is Dragon's latest shot at cashing in on the Wii peripheral market. It is also proof that Dragon have gone peripheral MAD. Their "8 In 1 Weapon Kit" pack is almost as advertised: you get seven weapons (well, six and a shield) in the one box. Two swords, two knives, an axe, a gun and the shield. The mystery eighth weapon is your own imagination.

false advertising. my imagination is more powerful than any weapon on earth.
what ?
so the society wants me to think brutal when i play video games
Oh my.
I love the Wii.. but then again I HATE all the *crap* everyone is trying to create for it. It's not helping the image at all...
Hmmm...I've already seen peripheral packages like this.
Some sort of 8 in one sports package.
Now the real question is: Why would anyone need multiple swords/axes to play with their wii?
So much for Nintendo's family friendly reputation.
IT'S TIME TO DUAL WIELD SWORDS! YES!
Wow. I keep looking at the pics trying to find an 8th weapon, as I can't believe someone is THAT stupid. No such luck. Cmon, it's counting. Honestly.
DO WANT.
Back of the box has eight bullet points under "Contains", but the image is too small to make out what it says.
Awesome I've killed more people with my imagination than any of the other weapons hands down. :D
@Kirbytheslayer: defeated JavaScript: for a different game/character. the scimitar would be for PoP, yeah
this might be somewhat interesting, if it were designed more like the Killer7 setup, so that you'd have one weapon per killer...
Well I'm sure it doesn't have the seal of quality :P Junk peripherals like this don't bother me that much. It sucks when companines like this start putting out games though, like those Wii racing games on Kotaku a couple days ago. Heck Nintendo itself probably has put out some of the worse peripherals in history if you count the Super Scope 6 and R.O.B. I also blame them for the Power-glove even though that was 3rd party. I can't pin the U-Force on them though.
All they need is a chainsaw addition, and the law suit would be complete!
I think the REAL question is:
Is that pistol peripheral any better then the god-awful Wii-zapper?
Oh my...this isnt going to go well with the media.
I love the Chris + Jill photoshop phridays characters they have in the middle there.
We all know. That 8th weapon. Is the box it came in. Duh.
@Pornosaur:
WOW the super scope was awesome !!! for 3 weeks, right after 21 days it was already broken
@Dakkonfire:
WE HAVE OURSELVES A LAWSUIT MY FRIENDS!
Hmm, the pictures of the characters on the box were familiar to me...check out the boxart here; [www.shop4tech.com]
Now then, check out these official renders of Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield from the new Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles and tell me what you see....

Coincidence? I think not.
@Witzbold:
They gotta sue for that, surely?
that is so sick
I seriously think the parents of today are just trying to bait the "violent gaming generation" at this point.
I found the following blurb about this product:
Difficult to kill the people in your Wii war game? Or find that you cannot fully enjoy your war game with the Wii Remote controller? This 8 in 1 weapon kit can solve your problem, together with gun, knife, sword, shield, you can become soldiers and fight with other enermies. Also with special soft material, it is totally save and you can play your war game with your kids.
Each set include:
Sword pad x 1
Knife pad x 1
Axe pad x 1
Shield pad x 1
Short sword x 1
Short knife x 1
Gun pad x 1
Ease set-up and use
Amazing, exciting, fantastic and training body reaction
Fully compatible with any version of Wii remote controller
Special design for Wii action, fighting or shooting light gun games
Physical exercise ideal Wii accessories product and good for health
Childish soft materials manufacture, no hazaro
I guess "Ease set-up and use" is the eighth weapon.
@Kiriphii: Just enough has been changed I think they can get away with it. Not saying its right, just saying enough might have been changed. Plus you can't fight the hair on the dude. Just look at it.
While we're on the subject of ripoffs, I'm 99.9% certain that the woman on the far right is a ripped off pose from either Sophitia or Cassandra.
Do I really need a sword AND a knife?
Great, another thing that I will see some poor unsuspecting parent picking up and asking someone else if they "need it to play a game?" Then I have to add my two-cents and tell the parent they are better off buying an actual game instead of that crap.
I am so sick of those things.
@CelticsFansSuicideWatch: There are many ways to skin a cat.
So I put on the axe extension and I'm expected to play a game entirely by making axe-swinging motions?
I love how they're trying to appeal to the RE crowd, but you can't play RE4 with the sensor end of the wiimote covered with a fake knife thing.
Oh man, what... who thought this was a good idea? I mean, peripherals sell, yes, but not because they look like THIS. That knife looks like it will go through something.
But I guess this is what happens when your company also thinks it's a good idea to slightly photoshop characters on a box.
Don't buy from those who can't count.
@Torgen thinks AAA has lost all meaning:
damn, so that is why the game doesn't work when I play it
:P
@Pornosaur: They also released a mediocre peripheral as the worst console in history:
The Virtua Boy!
The shield looks more like a display stand than a shield.
@Kiriphii: You would think that they would at least reverse the images after playing dress up with them.
Now where do I get this? I need to recreate Cast Away/Hatchet/Battle Royale.
I hate that crap like this gets released you just know some moms gonna buy this for their kid.
@Kirbytheslayer: defeated JavaScript: I think you mean Virtual Boy....
@Kirbytheslayer: defeated JavaScript: What do you have against the Virtual Boy (besides headaches)? I still have mine and a copy of Virtual Mario Tennis.
Wii sure has a lot of big breasted ninjas
@Kirbytheslayer: defeated JavaScript: Besmirch not the fair name of Virtual Boy! Mario Tennis on that was fantastic. I still have mine from the EB fire-sale after it was official that the console//portable (?) failed. I would have to say that the Wii is the worst peripheral ever released for my TV. *ducks* I'm only kidding, mostly!
@walkman1022: You know what? Screw you. I'll type it how I pronounce it, regardless of correctness on my part.
@Erwin211: The headaches are a big one.
Then, there's the graphics that make yours eyes bleed.
Finally, there were 8 games for it.
There are literally as many accessories in that box as games for the boy.
@Anemone:
Damn straight. Biggest flaw the Virtual Boy had was that it was a portable Mario Tennis machine. And if that's a flaw, then damnit, I don't wanna be perfect.
@hobob: We wish.
@Torgen thinks AAA has lost all meaning: Try imagining NinjaBread Man with boobs.
Did that help?
@Kirbytheslayer: defeated JavaScript: FAILURE for insulting the greatness of the Blindness Machine (tm).
You sir do not belong in the halls of gaming greatness.
@Kiriphii: I prefer a blender.
Anywhoo, if the media was about to go to eleven on the Wii Zapper inciting real life violence ala gaming, this sure as hell will get their attention.
As for cheap stupid peripherals... who let Nerf in on the whole thing? I don't need 7(+1 apparently) weapons for the wiimote, and I don't need Nerf shoveling their foam crap into the video game section either. Their purpose has been served, they finally cultivated the Nerf sniper rifle, they are no longer needed.
@Kirbytheslayer: defeated JavaScript: No. I did just think that maybe a Naruto game has big breasted ninjas, but then I thought that it's anime based, so probably not. (Never watched the show, okay?)
None of these strike me as having the power of a shark in your hands.
The Switch-Wii is nice though.
@Torgen thinks AAA has lost all meaning: Actually, there's one Character with a huge chest in Naruto, but she manages to be unattractive.
[www.saiyanworld.org]
Relatively attractive and whatever, but then you find out that she's like 81.
A shield is like two weapons. You can use it to block and swipe at people, or you can throw it at people.
@Kirbytheslayer: defeated JavaScript: Yeah, there's often one "breast relief" character in anime. My assertion that there aren't big breasted ninjas seems to be correct. Also, is she in the game?
@Torgen thinks AAA has lost all meaning: That italic s in ninjas isn't italic enough. :(
@K-OSS: Where can I get this nerf sniper rifle you speak of? D:
