OK, let's try this whole Pop Contest idea again. I tried a test of this contest last Friday, but our servers promptly crashed something I'm hoping was a coincidence.
Here s the idea: Between now and 8 p.m. EST Friday, I will post a contest question on Kotaku and the first person to email me the answer will win a snazzy-ass Pathway to Glory pack. What's a Pathway to Glory pack, you ask? Why, it's something I just invented. It includes a sweet camo-green Nokia Pathway to Glory T-shirt, decorated with the name of a soon to be dead soldier; a pair of Pathway to Glory aviator sunglasses in a nice metal tin; a heavy duty green Pathway to Glory notepad, perfect for writing poems while under fire; and a Pathway to Glory canvas army bag, for toting all of this stuff around.
I've got three of these swanky kits to give away, so I'll throw up three different questions in the next three days. You know, come to think of it, I've got so much crap . I mean schwag, to give away I'll do a fourth and fifth question as well.
The fourth question will win the lucky answererererer an unused 2004 (Yes, I know that was last year) Halo 2 Limited Edition Calendar and the fifth Pop Question will reward the correct answer with a 2005 Rumble Roses Calendar. On a personal note, let me just say that the Rumble Roses Calendar is about as sexy and sexist as you can get without nudity.
To wrap the whole thing up, and help clear some space in my loft, the five winners of the Pop Quiz will be entered in a random drawing to win a copy of a slightly scuffed, but completely unpawed tradebook The Art of Halo: Creating a Virtual World.
Yes, I've lost my mind, tell all your friends, point and laugh, just don't forget to check back frequently for your chance to score some major booty.
