I loved Call of Duty, but for me that is a 360 game (biased I know) and I think that Ratchet & Clank deserves the honor for being a true PS3 game that really kicks ass.

Props to Uncharted for being a solid new IP though.

Uncharted and Ratchet are beautifully crafted games but I'll go for Uncharted because I think it really shows the abilities of a current-gen console.

I've actually played all these games, but I enjoyed Heavenly Sword the most. A true cinematic experience.

As much as i LOVE Uncharted and R&C, I just have to give it to CoD4. It's the only game so far out of the three that i just can't stop playing.

For this i voted rachet and clank, cause im a huge fan of the series and was great to play the ps3 one :D

i liked uncharted but after i finished it. i never played it again. ratchet and clank i finished twice and loved it twice and there will also be some cool download counted in the future so r&c is the game off the year for me

I just fininshed R&C F last night, and it's just so good! I immediately jumped into a new game + and played for another hour.

Activision and IW are dead to me, I'm never buying another Call of Duty game. Uncharted is by far my favorite PS3 game.

Yeah, definitely R&C for replayability. It's designed to be played through more than once. Whereas, when I rented Uncharted a few weeks ago - I beat it 5 days and had no desire to even start going through a second time.

Uncharted for me. I was taken aback by how good that game was. End to end awesome.

I loved Uncharted so it gets my vote; it's the only game I ever leave in my PS3.

i went with uncharted. call of duty 4 is a great game, but it's not a "PS3" game per say. ratchet and clank was also a great game, but uncharted was the best overall on the list. to go from jak and daxter to a full-on "next gen" game on a system that really needed one.

can't wait for GotY next year. holy crap.....

on my 2nd time playing Uncharted in Black and White this time and trying to get some of the medals and such since it's impossible to find all the treasure the first time around i believe

What about Warhawk?

Uncharted for me. Had a great time playing it. I may even play it again after I finish a few PC games I have going.

I'm very sad to say that I really would have picked R&C, until Uncharted came out. R&C's replay-ability wasn't as great as past games, for me. I'm on my 4th time playing Uncharted. Gamefly will probably never get it back.

Went with Uncharted, despite all of my local EB Games disagreeing with me.

If Uncharted wins I will lose all respect for commenters here. Call of Duty 4 should be GOTY for every console it is on.

Warhawk is my favortite game on the PS3. I've played over 140 hours and it just keeps getting better with every patch they release. There are still enough people playing that the servers are almost contantly full despite the fact that it didn't sell that well and it's going up against UT3, Orange Box, and CoD4. Warhawk deserves to at LEAST make the list.

I wonder how this would have turned out had Call of Duty been a PS3 exclusive. I'm certainly not saying that to be disparaging towards anybody, I just think Uncharted's exclusive status is giving it a bump and I think that's interesting.

Seriously, Warhawk should be up there. I didn't pick call of duty 4 is because it's on the 360.

Also Warhawk was also the first full console game to be downloadable.

Gotta go with Uncharted...Call of Duty is probably my favorite game of the year but I bought it on PC. Also Uncharted is brilliant and I can't wait for the next one. Ratchet and Clank, also excellent but it didn't have the fresh new feeling that Uncharted did.

Not like they stand a real chance against theses 3, but it would be nice to have some CHOICE; this just makes people feel like there's even less games for the PS3...

@Bishmon: I don't think I would have chosen COD4 if it was. COD4 was lots of fun but I guess am one of the dying kind that still loves his games for it's narration and depth of the world they present you.

I vote for Uncharted. The game that shouldn't have lost to Mario.

Still, I expected Warhawk to at least get a mention in the PS3 section. It's the pivotal PS3 multiplayer game right now.

yea i was pheening Warhawk when the beta was out and played it and only it for a long time after it was out (i got the download and the hard copy with a gift card) i'm weening off it alittle bit so i can atleast try and play other stuff

I think my vote for best PS3 game is a dead heat between Portal, Call of Duty 4, and Rock Band. Sure, those all came out on other systems, but they also came out on the PS3, and I think they're a notch above Ratchet and Uncharted.

That's not to put those Ratchet or Uncharted down, it's merely a testament to how incredible I thought Portal, CoD, and Rock Band are. And like I said, just because those games came out on other systems doesn't dissuade me from voting for them on the PS3 since they also came out on that system.

I'd rather see an exclusive than COD4 in there :| Folklore wouldn't be bad...

Ratchet and Clank

If Uncharted wasn't rushed to release with loads of pirate filler to try and supply some extra gameplay i would have chosen that. It is a shame, between the overlong gun fights it is a great game.

Tough choice... but I'd have to go with Ratchet & Clank, the game is a)Visually stunning, b)A blast to play and c)If you go for the bolt/raritanium collecting pretty deep. I loved Uncharted, it was even more stunning than R&C visually and the combat was intense but overall R&C was the best experience for me.

Uncharted is truly the Playstation 3 game of the year.

@Eman311: What's so good about Call of Duty 4? I didn't like Call of Duty 2, and 4 plays exactly the same, simply in the modern era. I didn't think the graphics were that great, your usual shades of brown and grey, the controls were silly (click in left analog stick to run, and right analog stick to use your knife?), and the things like martyrdom and last stand really bothered me. Also, what kind of tactical shooter is this when you can't lean around a corner, instead of exposing your entire body? Unless you play it on the PC, the game is an upscaled from 1024x600 and looks like complete ass on my 1080p display. 4 player splitscreen is alright, but I'd rather play Halo 3 or Warhawk for that.

See, this is why I find this so interesting. Among the nominees, Call of Duty has the highest PS3 Metacritic ranking and its easily sold the most copies (it's sold more copies on the PS3 than Ratchet and Uncharted combined, and those games are ones only found on the PS3). And yet it's lagging in last place in the vote.

The reason for that is obvious: it's a multi-platform release, which apparently disqualifies it from being the best PS3 game. I just think it's incredible how divisive the console wars have become.

My vote goes to Motorstorm. I still think it's the best racer I've ever played. Then again, I haven't played any of the above- though Uncharted is grinning at me from my unplayed games shelf.

@Boxelder: Ok seriously, why is this not in the list? Warhawk is as good as these games, if not better in my opinion (and a few other peoples apparently). I had to vote Uncharted out of these three, yet I would place the variety in game-play experienced in Warhawk above everything else these games offered me.

COD4= fps ever!!!! It's a close tie between this and final fantasy 10 for my fav game of all time.

I think its hilarious that there are 3 games on that list. Uncharted would be my vote.
