I'm personally most thrilled by the Dragoon update.

"I'm going to have you play every inch of this game" is a quote made of win.

Looks like, with the game coming out in less than a month (and therefore, assuredly complete now), we should be getting some pretty good updates in the new year! Not to mention, review copies will start being shipped to various places, and we'll get a ton more video footage and such.

It's time to finish up my other games. I feel like I'm living on borrowed time! Once February 10th comes around, I may not survive.

I loved Kirby Air Ride's City Trial mode (Didn't have the game but played it at a friends house), I had fun with that game that I only had when I was a little kid, the multiplayer in city trial (with the preparations for the event to come) was just perfect for me, the Dragoon parts in Brawl are a great touch.

@xpnet: I'm aphrehensive about the trophy stand stuff too, but then I realized that a full five years after I bought Smash Bros Melee, I still hadn't collected all of the trophies. I finally did early this year. I expect I'll continually be unlocking tiny tidbits of content like music tracks or trophies like that for years with this game too.

And yes, it is like snagging a Pokemon. Not a bad choice for adding game mechanics.

The official Nintendo guide was bundled with Melee when I got it, so I knew how to unlock the hard trophies. I also unlocked as many characters as I could first so I could try them all out :X

It was an okay week. I expect some mind numbing updates when they decide to update again.

@shrewd: I saw the Nintendo Power Melee guide in stores after the game was released, and I kind of perused it, looking at the pretty pictures and naive strategies. Then, after years of playing it, I really wanted to try and find (and buy) that guide for nostalgia's sake. But I couldn't find it anywhere, and didn't want to pay a ridiculous amount on ebay/amazon for it.

I'm going to buy some Brawl strategy guides when the game comes out, this time! Not with the intent of really using them, but for bathroom reading material and for future nostalgia.

Sakurai has 14 more tries to get some epic information to the masses before the game hits in Japan. Then Youtube will be flooded with everything we ever wanted to know.

Time to get it in gear.

That Dragoon item makes it sorta like Powerstone. So does the Smash Ball. Combine Power Stone and SSB and you couldn't fail.
