Meh..... seriously is tons of gore only new thing in NG2? Pretty much all we are seeing about this game is that lolz gore. I enjoyed the first one, but are we going to actually get some new material this time around or just same game with blood?

I'm digging the look of the blood in NG2. Though was never really a fan of this series. Not knocking it, just saying the series really never caught my interest.

I'm really liking the blood there, it's giving it a more Anime feel

Meh... Deep down I love this game but I just can't get past the difficulty. I'd much rather play one of my other equally good games then bang my head up against the wall that is learning curve in Ninja Gaiden.

So I'm thinking that Yahtzee is kicking himself about the fact that he has already used "Blood" by My Chemical Romance as an end credits song for a video. It would've been quite useful here, if the last few screen releases have told us anything.

So flowers are going to pour out in the Japanese versions right? The German version will have Ryu sit down and talk his problems out with the enemy ninjas. The British version make sure no religious architectural structures are on screen during the fighting. The Canadian version will translate the Ninpo symbols to French. Finally the US version will make sure all the female ninjas have their breasts covered.

@beem: Even though DMC4 is also on the 360? Seriously - I admit that NGII looks better than sigma, but I'm also looking forward to DMC4 a hell of a lot more. Itagaki and his ilk didn't fix some of the horrible problems with the first game in any of its iterations, and I doubt they'll even bother with it in the sequel.

The "cinematic moments" advertised are also something that pisses me off. Any time that games as intense as these take control away from the player, be it in the camera or their actions, and presume to know better, I have a problem. And Ninja Gaiden seems to enjoy doing that all the gorram time.

Bah. I enjoyed Sigma, blood and all, but seriously, this is getting excessive. To the point where it's actually unappealing. There's such thing as too much blood. There's just so much that it stops looking cool.

Man, why does DMC4 have to come up... I just look at that Nero Training trailer and gotta say, the execution of that game... cutscene, loadingscreen, gameplay, loadingscreen, cutscene, loadingscreen... is no good.

Of course, i'll still get DMC4 for the cutscenes, but to even bothering to compare these games... sigh...

Apparently the enemies in Ninja Gaiden II are sacks of blood. Easily punctured sacks of blood. I hope the game has realistic splat sounds to go with all of this.

Meh. There's a lot of blood, is that all they're going to show for this game? I'm with snakecl and maldron on this one, DMC4 looks a hell of a lot better. I don't mean visuals or anything, but DMC4 seems to be mixing the series up a bit, and the story appears to be fairly interesting, whereas NGII's story will probably follow in the original's footsteps; that is, be about as interesting as watching paint peel. And it looks as though the gameplay will be basically the same, but adding the God of War/simon sez button pressing thing for some godawful reason, as if we didn't get enough of it nowadays.
But at least we know that Itagaki will step it up! Expect 100% more dismemberment, blood, and tits!

Anyone else think they're intentionally trying to depict the game as gruesome as possible in order to get a rise out of the Jack Thompsons of the world? They know as well as we do that Controversy = Sales. What better way?

Only until it gets released on PS3 as Ninja Gaiden 2 Omega or whatever it'll be called a year later. Team Ninja didn't go through all that trouble of getting a PS3 devkit, and having some of their guys learn PS3 architecture just for fun.

I still stand-by my comment. NG2 looks marginally better than sigma. Still looks plastic and doll-like. The only area vastly improved seems to be anti-aliasing, but that's just as likely to be doctored in the screencaps as an actual engine improvement.

Frankly all the blood is unappealing to me. I'd rather have a good game thats perfectly clean, hello Mario, then a good game thats completely blood soaked, Hello Ninja Gaiden.

I mean, seriously, do some people get a kick out of watching someone be beheaded. I'm fine for games like COD4 and what not, but this is completely unrealistic.

America eats this stuff up anyways. It's easy to sell shit when you know your audience. Just look at Hollywood, nuthin good ever comes outta there but they are still in business.

All that blood looks glorious and totally fits in a game where you are flipping out and killing dudes.

I can't really understand the complaints about blood when were talking about Ninja Gaiden.
