King Features Syndicate and Destination Software announced today that the 70-year wait for a proper Betty Boop video game will soon be over. They're bringing Betty Boop: Double Shift to (can you guess?) the Nintendo DS this fall.

How will it play? According to the release, players will "take control of Betty as she struggles with the daily tasks of running her own restaurant... seating customers, taking orders, or bringing the check." Starting to sound familiar? You'll also "assist Betty throughout the game as she earns money to improve her diner and help revitalize the neighborhood."

Not that I've actually even played Diner Dash, but isn't this exactly Diner Dash? Sounds all wet but maybe it'll turn out nobby and worth the three sawbucks. Michael McWhertor
