Congrats on Tristan's graduation! You must be proud of the little dude.

Remember my new OMEGA watch I showed ya in New York? The one that Mrs. Bashcraft literally saved three years to buy? (She saved spare change from when she went to the supermarket.) The battery on it died. And it's only a few months old.

We were told to take it to the OMEGA to a watch service center in Osaka's Shinsaibashi. I brought with me the watch's identification papers — which it turns out were all wrong! The serial number didn't match up. Nothing did. Apparently, the store we bought it at in Texas didn't include the proper documentation. Pretty crappy considering how expensive the watch is! The craftsman at the watch service center said my watch is real, though. Still, I haven't told my wife. After three years of penny pinching, the last thing she deserves is a bad aftertaste.
