From reader Marco L. comes this sparkly, cake-icing-cookie confection (it sparkles!) that Marco's mom made for his 27th birthday. The icing (fondant, I assume) has a lovely marbled effect to it, and the bigger mushrooms around the base are cookies (and also painstakingly frosted). I'm always amazed by the nice game cakes readers send to us, and this is no exception. What a nice mom, and happy belated birthday Marco!
