Had DVD disk drive scratches? Feel like Microsoft isn't doing enough? Live in Europe? A few months earlier, Dutch TV show Kassa did a segment saying the Xbox 360 scratches discs, and it made quite an impression. Meglena Kuneva (above, cheek-rubbing), the European Commissioner for Consumer Affairs, sent a letter and has made an ultimatum: detail how the bad DVD drive situation in the Netherlands was handled, how common this problem is elsewhere and how many complaints have been received. She's expecting an answer in a week. Apparently, there have been a thousand complaints in the Netherlands along. The Commissioner admits she cannot demand a recall, but says she'll be "more than happy to act" if there are the legal grounds to do so. Seems like her hands are tied somewhat, but stay tuned.
