1973: Hudson Soft is founded in Sapporo, Japan. Transitioning from telecommunications to computers to videogames, Hudson became the first third-party vendor for Nintendo.
After creating franchises like Bomberman and Adventure Island, Hudson Soft became the "go to" company for when Nintendo licensed important IP development to third parties.
What I didn't realize was that Konami is Hudson's controlling shareholder. Interesting.
