That's nerd expert Patrick Macias. He's editing a new magazine called OTAKU USA Magazine. It covers anime, manga, games — Pretty much all things otaku. From the mag's site:

OTAKU USA will be the big, brash, beautiful Japanese Anime, Manga and J-Pop Magazine...written exclusively for the American Market.

OTAKU USA will give UNBIASED COVERAGE, because unlike the other top magazines, OTAKU USA Magazine has no financial affiliation to any Japanese Anime or Manga firm.

Each big issue will include posters, manga pullouts, and a DVD with full length anime, clips, and direct weblinks to game websites.

And hey, I'm writing for it! So do pick up the first issue, which drops June 5th at Barnes & Nobles, Borders, Books-A-Million, Target, Blockbuster and other places where people read stuff before buying. Brian Ashcraft
