There are few surprises in this week's Media Create hardware sales chart, as general weekly trends continue. The Nintendo DS Lite once again murdered the competition, selling at a rate even better than the previous week's 255,000. Unexpectedly, the GameCube saw a mini-sales surge in Japan, besting list bottom-feeders like the Game Boy micro and GBA SP. PLAYSTATION 3 hardware continues its two-week streak of marginally improved sales.
- DS Lite - 285,123
- Wii - 101,320
- PSP - 35,172
- PlayStation 2 - 14,815
- PLAYSTATION 3 - 12,974
- Xbox 360 - 3,205
- GameCube - 394
- Game Boy micro - 340
- Game Boy Advance SP - 302
The best news? An (arguably valid) excuse to post my zombie GameCube Photoshop creation which makes this Simple 2000: The Japanese Hardware Chart post my personal favorite.
